Posted June 13, 201311 yr Just found this in the retail package, but imho the voltages are a bit too high for "safety" or even reference settings. I'm trying out the "fun" reference of 1.3V at 4.5G profile and my CPU is not stable. "Easy" works.
June 13, 201311 yr Even in retail package reference is made for ES CPU, really? The idea is not bad though
June 14, 201311 yr what do they mean by DDR3-2801 1.76V not recommended? MSI is trolling with 'ES' volts **funny, uncore volts are listed but not vccin.. these guys
June 14, 201311 yr I have an early CO ES.. no death here and been testing since Dec'12 with it. *Only deaths I have heard of were early C0 Malay retail.. seems vccin over 2.3v is 'scary' for them. Though between folks trying to shove 1.6vcore while leaving vccin @ 1.85v, and people not using a DMM to verify SA and Ring/Uncore.. i can see why some CPU have gone to heaven **MSI has actually adjusted the 'safe' voltage ranges in the BIOS since retail release to prevent people from getting to friendly with certain voltage ranges on air.
June 15, 201311 yr QE6S are better from what I heard... but those only work (extreme OC) on Asrock and Asus
