K404
As always, if I have a problem, I discuss it BEFORE I submit results. Here are two videos that explain the problem. GPUs are nVidia (for a change LOL) GT120 and GTS150 The GT120 thinks it's a 9500GT and the GTS150 thinks its a GTS250 (some existing GTS150 submissions already mention this) Enjoy the music, the fan noise made the original audio painful to listen to. LOL
Massman
Is this related to drivers?
GENiEBEN
Technically they are just that, OEM rebadges of GF9, and GPU-Z insists on displaying the name provided by the driver. I guess Inspector should be fine in such cases? If not, INF mod to show proper name in GPU-Z.
K404
I will try to mod the inf to display the right names, but if I could avoid doing that, I would be happier.

K404
Finally made some time to play around with device IDs This GT120 is absolutely DETERMINED to be seen as a (0640) 9500GT .... i've tried removing 0640 from the ID list and it still identifies as that. Any ideas to get this to identify as a 0646 GT 120? (The GTS150 is a frustration for another day)
Crew Strunkenbold Posted November 5, 2013 Crew Share Posted November 5, 2013 Isnt that a GPU-Z bug when they dont match your device id with the correct device name? Maybe contacting author of GPU-Z is worth a try...
K404
Update on the GTS150.... I don't think nVidia assigned a unique ID to it.....that, is a problem
GENiEBEN
Hey Kenny, are there any specs different that could determine which is which? I know it's a rebadge, but maybe something is different, like bios versions available etc.
K404
The PCB is shared with Zotacs 9800GTX+ 1GB and GTS250 1GB. I've not seen any of those cards with the same BIOS as the '150 (62.92.62.00.16) but... that doesn't mean they aren't out there.
Massman
Couldn't help by laugh when I saw the Nvidia product page on the GTS150: "The NVIDIA GeForce GTS 150 GPU enables full-throttle lifelike game play while providing optimal power management." :D
K404
It was released a month after the GTX280. Fail!
K404
Been playing again. Would this be sufficient as verification? I have "had to" make a 0615 device ID correspond to a GTS150 when "normally" a 0615 is the ID for a GTS250. I do NOT like doing this, it is smoke and mirrors IMO but it's as close as I can get to """correct""" nVidiaInspector still won't report a GTS150, but I genuinely wouldn't be using it for G92, Rivatuner all the way
GENiEBEN
Both screens are OK, but to be safe also open a Notepad and mention that you had an INF mod to show as GT150, and reason (or link to this thread). Can you send me such a screenshot to improve its support in Aquamark? Edited January 22, 2014 by GENiEBEN
K404
What do you need in the screenshot? I had another idea last night and will try it this evening, it might help things further.

K404
Sorry, I wasn't clear enough... do you need the entire code, or just the section that is visible in the box without me scrolling to the end?

No need to scroll, only interested up to &REV part.
