  1. With the most due respect, no background in the new Div Compo...security wise, but especially PROMO wise probably a questionable decision. I go with the flow as a relative newbie but it also affects authenticity and participant/competition experience for the actual Compo. My humble 2 cents.
  2. Rules section -no adapters allowed Can't wait to explore these platforms!
  3. Odd, I don't get an option to submit my HD7870 card for stage 5. I think I got everything right? http://hwbot.org/submission/3716767_ A poor score is better than no score
  5. Thanks! Single core score could probably be a tad higher even. It runs ok actually...not super fast but browsing and video is fine. As soon as you do the heavier math stuff it get's slow. But hey, it's a 2W CPU. Perfect if you commute by train or for reading on the couch/bed.
  6. Still a lot of submits with incorrect temps...also in the top submissions! Indeed, I had to put a heater in front of my cooling to get above 25 idle
  7. Thank you mr. Strunkenbold Sir!
  8. Hey Guys, Could you be so kind as to add the following AMD K15 CPU? AMD G-Series GX-420GI - GE420GAAY43KA Many thanks, Michel
  9. Hey Guys, Asked a question a couple of months ago on a single score, where it was not showing a ' best global score ' but I knew it had to be my best. Am getting used to the different areas of HWBot and found the per benchmark overview of listings with cores associated. Look at the pic, and you'll see what I mean. I haven't checked all of them, but the first handfull were also missing. No biggie, but I might be missing out on some global points Curious anyways haha... https://pelvis.home.xs4all.nl/HWBot/no%20global%20QC%20scores.png Great if you could have the time to look into this!, and thanks, Michel
  10. Wow! Very nice score on h2o...these Xeon series are my fave 6 cores
  11. Thanks! Went slow and tweaked the hell out of it...tedious work but it pays off. Tough bench!
  12. Crazy indeed! Gotta love that chip though, the x5260 has been good to me on various occasions Same problem here with CPU speed, can run it at 5100+ but performance is worse.
  13. Hey HWBot team, One can never express enough the appreciation for you guys keeping things running, just wanted to say that again! I have a simple (I think) issue, or we have for that matter. I am one of the guys in the team who likes to eSport, and I look at the ranks and different disciplines a lot. But our team does not have our HWBot logo visible at the eSports site. Mr. Leeghoofd gave it a try, we do have a logo now at HWBot, but it seems to be tricky to get it represented at eSports. Could you lend a hand to get this done, or point us in the right direction? Very much appreciated, and I wish you guys a happy and prosperous 2017! Michel
  14. Report! Well I went ahead tonight with some further TS...and I thought if the fuse is broken I should not be able to meassure resistance, but on all I could meassure a value. Then it had to be the cap, and I replaced the obvious one closest to the fuse that had the failing voltage. A pain to get a nice clean hole, but once soldered I fired it up and bang...no failure message ....yeah baby! I made a BIOS with USB disabled and flashed it before I started looking into soldering, that seemed to have worked like a charm. Instant OC from scratch setup in the BIOS...if it wasn't so much hassle you'd want that for each of your boards....babbling along in my exstatic state lol Thanks a lot for the good help, learned a few things on the way...easy to overthink things when you are on unknown grounds. Now for the big test with the 8350...see how she holds up under a decent load Thanks again, you rule, Mies
  15. So short it by hand and see what happens...if it runs, solder a fixed bridge or simply add a new breaker. The fuse is there for Voltage I take it, but it probably has a wattage rating as well. I presume I can simply put a new fuse parallel on top of the broken one. Comes to question if caps that were bent like on the picture can actually work if you push em back. In case it is just the broken fuse it would probably be caused by a faulty USB device...can't really think of anything else. I really was suspecting them caps though: Edit: Really need to read up on the Mobo subcomponents...been primarily focused on straight component repair, pin jobs, power sections and memory for modding . Fun too, and if I can get it to work I'll be grinning for a couple of days !
  16. Just got rid of a few Mobo's, but I have a Z77A-G43 which is broken and has 16V 100 caps on it. They are a tad smaller in height, but they should do fine right? Just don't want to mess up the Formula!
  17. Very good! ok...this repair is new for me so bear with me as I want to understand exactly what I am doing to be able to figure it out myself if needed. Sooooo, just took out the board and the multi, and the 'breaker' (that's what they are right?) closest to the reset button only has voltage on one side. I will meassure all of them, but as this is the problem area I found the failing element quickly. Left side shows 5. something volts, the right hand side nothing. What is the best way to move forward. Can I bypass the breaker safely just to test, or should I start with replacing a certain cap or the three caps alltogether? Something caused the breaker to fail, if the cap is the suspect root cause I have to replace the caps anyways...educate me plzzz
