removing socket notches is easy, but making holes in the cpu pcb is fine too, but is a bit more risky for the cpu if you never did this before. the cpu is more rare than the board so you might want to do the board instead but but for a 3014, a REX is likely better, series 3000 are compatible with x38/48, so if you plan to REX it later, you may make notches. as far as you need to go :

this bug can happen a lot. my workaround is to have 2 folders of cpu-z 1.86 (or keep the zip file closeby). delete the buggy cpu-z folder one and replace it with a fresh copy, then it will show the spd somehow cpu-z gets "corrupted" and stops displaying spd tab or the real voltage and shows Vid instead hope this works for you

hi all. sorry if this has already been covered... but are sockets 1151 based on chipset 1xx 2xx and 3xx all considered to be the same and unique, for cpu stages 1 ,2 etc ? i d think 1xx and 2xx as 1151 v1 and 3xx aa 1151 v2, but when you submit 7700k and 8700k, only the best remains. hence I suppose you adopted the POV of a unique 1151 socket ? thanks

Repeated and slightly higher ! Ps: my ram frequency is the highest in 2285 cas8 vs ~2000ish cas7 or 2250-2280ish cas9 for the others. can this be the reason ?

This is the first time I use this bench and I get a much higher score than the others mostly because my 4 threads score rocks. I wonder if this is normal. Any thoughts from the experienced guys ? I am repeating the bench as I speak...

why is the Xeon L3014 authorized when it is so hard to find, whilst opetrons 1xx-2xx are readily available ...? (I am not talking about cpu servers xeon with 8+ cores fighting against amd and intel current products, but old amds with 1 or 2 cores...) I think it deserves a poll, and I am sure the majority will want the Xeon L3014 out of the competition....

same question for stage4, amd spi32m subs. can the same cpu go on am2, then am2+, am3, am3+ platforms ? for these amd cases, different sockets will also mean different cpu models ? similarly, will 775 on ddr2 be differentiated from 775 with ddr3 ? thanks

Subs get points disabled, and trying to re-enable does not help, and for scores submitted during a previous competition, the system will not let you edit one example from a teammate but I have seen some others http://hwbot.org/submission/3150784 I also noticed that the same user can have multiple scores for the same bench.hardware. and get points for each ! for my teammate we recal the worst so only the best get points. but the ranking gets messed up since the others are still present. deleting is not an option since the first may get deleted, and the second best should take its place automatically. something eneds to be done in the algorythm i guess one example: teammate gets ranks #4 #7 and #14... http://hwbot.org/benchmark/superpi_-_1m/rankings?hardwareTypeId=processor_1508&cores=4 Thanks if you can look into this
