  1. Some ppl here in Brazil came up with one doubt about the prizes. Just to make it clear, the ticket goes to the one with the most points on the sum of all stages or it goes to the winner of each stage?? I understood that it is only for the higher average score in the three stages but some ppl understood that each stage will qualify someone to represent hwbot on worldwide finals. I'd like to make everybody sure about the rules Thanks!! EDIT: One question without much sense that I'd like to ask: by the rules we are obligated to use x50 ratio, so if someone wants to use x49 it will be against the rules, isn't it?
  2. But don't you think that getting the result of a different subtest as final score for each cpu is kinda unfair? Anyway we won't get to any point here, I like the bench and that is what matters for real =)
  3. I think I didn't make myself clear. What I wanted to say is that this test doesn't uses the same calculation method to every cpu... SuperPI, Wprime, Pifast uses always the same exact iterations to find the result. UCbench doesn't do that. It uses different methods for different cpus by default.
  4. I agree with you, but the test changes itself depending on you cpu anyway. An intel quad core will peform different tests in comparison with an amd quad core cpu even in stock options.
  5. I like it, I just wanted that the rules let us choose to run only the test that gives the best score. example: only selecting to use 8 threads and sse3 with a 2600k, or 3 threads and sse2 with a amd x3... The score is based only on the best run anyway so it could be really good to let the OCer to choose the test he wants to get validated instead of making us run lots of tests that doesn't take any part on the final score. The validation already works that way but the rules seems to tell us to not choose anything else but the stock options... EDIT: Other thing I like about this benchmark is that it is the "only cpu" benchmark that makes my system get the highest power consumption among lots of others "only cpu" benchmarks.
  6. Just a question: Is it mandatory CPU-Z Screenshot on CPU-Z submissions? I could not submit my cpu-z score without putting some image on screenshot field.. I've read the rules again and I didn't find it... I've got that java error already posted here by other users until I putted some image on screenshot field. I'm sorry if it's already fixed. I had this issue on Sunday. Já foi aberto um ticket de suporte eles vão arrumar a falta da opção dos cores http://hwbot.org/forum/showthread.php?t=26859
  7. You've almost saved my life! Thank you very much!!! My board come back alive.. after shorting the backup bios it posted normally, then after a reboot it noticed some checksum bios error and done the swap again, but this time the system works flawlessly with F3 bios. THANK YOU!!!! \O/
  8. My UD5 always worked that way.. it's really a painful process
  9. Thanks for the tip, I'll try it as soon as possible and try to get back to my old and good F7e bios... I Crossflashed a non modded B3 bios, I think that that was the issue... But if you say that B3 Bios gives unstable voltages on B2 boards there's no use to me at all.. Thanks again!
  10. Sure, I think that if I've done that it would be ok. But I tried to swap from F6 (at the backup) to F3 (main) =( But damn, I can't find no one with that BIOS chip for sale... =( My board is dead and the BIOS sellers that I know doesn't have this chip...
  11. Just a warning for those using Gigabyte's B3 bios on B2 boards: I successfully updated mine to F3. Every thing was fine until I had the great idea of trying to update the backup bios (expecting that if something went wrong it come back to a B3 bios instead of an B2). After the bios swaping process MY BOARD "DIED" It doesn't post, doesn't make any beep, with or without CPU it doesn't start anymore... I bought some dice for trying good scores for initial K contest and I stopped before using any of it just because of this great idea of messing up the backup bios before benching... I'm just sad now.... I'm really dumb for realz
  12. Have fun guys!! Hope to see great scores and great stories! =) Thinking out loud: It would be great if all MOA qualifiers happens at the same day (at the same time) with the same rules, it would be the largest competition in the world.. See the names of all finalists coming at the same time would be really exciting =) But that will never happen =P
  13. Hey, isn't mandatory the motherboard cpu-z tab?? How can we be sure that any score (except max clock) was made using a gigabyte motherboard??
  14. Thanks man!! Now I can use new bios!! Not in the dark anymore!!!
  15. Random draw FTW!! whoa!!! I wasn't expecting it!! \O/!! =)
  16. Will they keep creating new bios for the B2 models?? I'm afraid to be stuck forever with the same beta bios
  17. Is it necessary to run all threads or for example at dual cores we can just run the two thread (or four in case of HT cpus) test? It is obvious that in a quad core cpu the test result will be based on a 4 thread (or 8 thread in case of HT cpus) not in 1, 2 or 3 threads test.
  18. no new UD5 with pll override for a while
