  1. The overall situation, but besides all beta testing everyone did before the finals, you did very well not testing anything at all before MOA =D Maybe it was an advantage for you not being through so many bios, hardmods and software changes before the contest.
  2. You've got a very interesting point... last year was a very good example of it...
  3. Very interesting =) I'm curious about the vga and memory =)
  4. hahaha I hope they decide soon, although massman already told that the sponsors are those who provided the prizes to the qualifiers... I hope they change for theses shown now, they are way easier to find around here in Brazil for proper practicing for the finals =)
  5. Yeah, I don't doubt about MSI capabilities of doing what is implicit by those ads.
  6. One small detail made me feel a little bit confused...
  7. I remember when the rules were first posted at the beginning of the contest and many people think that was better to have some crapy rules than having NO MOA at all... Now this kind of "we don't care about what you had planned for MOA, this is our game" thing from MSI side makes me wonder if it would not be better if we had no MOA at all and keep just the old memories of all already killed CPUs, VGAs and Motherboards in the name of MOA =( I'm not really in the mood for killing a titan for just for this... I already killed my best 7970 on the first round, now am I supposed to kill a bunch of an even more expensive vga? How do they allow titans of other brands but not allow epower? this is getting even more insane than putting a x79 rig to run spi32m and 3d03 and a gtx 680 to run 3d11 on a WWFinals... I'm really sad for this situation.
  8. Congratz to all of you guys! any news about the ww finals date??
  9. I will be on NO for the titan but my 7970 died, so I will have to buy some VGA anyway... =( For the benchmarks I would go for something really different, since it's written on the rules that the hardware requirement will be haswell, HWBOT unigine Heaven for 3D, 3Dmark ice storm physix test score (LOL I think it would be interesting), and 32M PI.
  10. my cpu runs that way, I did my best. I'm glad that MSI let us use the same hardware from 2012 qualify, making cheaper to go to semi final, where the real money will take place unfortunately.
  11. I still can't access it =/
  12. I see the CUP as a very good thing.. I see possibilities of one day non pro overclockers achieving more support to join the pros in this cup model. It's way easier to ask for support for a specific event than to an endless league. But on the side, the league, I think it should be as it was before, a more static rank with only crazy sponsored dudes getting the most boints they can. I vote for both, I don't have support to be on the pro OC league for now, but I see my self somewhere in the future gathering a team to try some good scores in a timed competition among the sponsored guys and everybody else who got prepared for three months of top overclocking. These two concepts can live together without any loss IMHO and they are both positive for the entire OC community.
  13. hey guys, today I wanted to check how i had run my memory on MOA but I can't find the link to the contest best screens. Does anyone still have the link to the scores?? I searched everywhere but I can't remember how to find it. Thanks in advance!! =) EDIT: I found it in here: http://hwbot.org/competition/moa_ww_2012/
  14. So it ended yesterday =( Thanks I don't know why but on my mind I swear I read before something like "up to February 10", today when I read again I see "before" so I have just to think I would not be lucky anyway.... =)
  15. When the lucky draw finishes? is it today or was it yesterday??
  16. =( I can't find Mpower to sell anywhere here or could not find where I was in vacation last month.. =( so this time my gd80 will allow me just participate for (un)lucky draw... sad not to be able to use any Z77 from MSI... just this very rare motherboard model =(
  17. I can boot 2400 100 without any issues... but my chip can't handle 2500.... this is doable in any xpower given bios (1.3, 1.4b6, 1.4 and moa)
  18. I've got exactly the same limitation here... it's sad not to be able to give more juice to my card...
  19. Thanks Massman! About the extra mods just received them now. Time for final testing before departure this Tuesday, I hope that everything doesn't change until there.
  20. If I could choose, I would like to have D3DOverrider and hexus pifast on my system.
  21. Nice about finals, sad about scores.. Did you try to disable turbo and post then go to bios save and reboot twice?
  22. Thanks Massman!! Does anybody know if we will have two cpus to use there? At Operation Vegas last year we were allowed only to use one. That makes a lot of difference...
  23. Massman do you know if MSI will contact us about the updated 1500 VGA BIOS? Or I should ask them?? Do you know if we will receive more mods besides the thermal shutdown and memory OCP that we received with the first 1500 bios?
  24. I haven't hear any word from them officially. I hope they decide what to do soon, I'll depart already next tuesday, I won't be able to change anything after that. So to me this is the final week before MOA and I want to see at least what I might face there. I could change things fine in the OS back at the 1.4b6 but it wasn't stable at all. I was reviewing the gtx and I couldn't run all tests at 5ghz... so I got back to 1.3 and had my review written without a single issue... 1.4 seemed to be as good as 1.3, except that i had this difference in one of my bios chips: luckily it was just at one of them... Edit: I found that it is not bios chip related. I reproduced the issue here, but after loading my oc profile the issue is gone... I don't know what combination of settings leads to it... And about the memory, I don't know about the 8gb kit, but the 16gb 2400c11 works flawless at xmp.
