RIP!! Great chip, great score! It went to cpu heaven with honor... -
But a single core unlocked to dual core will still be considered a single core??? Same question for a x2 being unlocked to x4, it will be at the x2 ranking???

I've heard that these bios doesn't come with the pll overvoltage option anymore.. Is it true?

LGA1155 facts, stats and list of mainboards
gnidaol replied to Massman's topic in Sandy Bridge (P67/Z68) OC
Good point.. or even just top 5 for each board... It would be good to take stock results away and other outliers... Anyway... Everything seems pretty much the same to me until now... -

wow! New pinmod!! Almost a 1156->1155 metamorphosis lol Just joking But it's something to try one day... bench normally then bench without that pin... you didn't buy a defective mobo you bought a modded mobo lol -

Don't know if I get it right, but for what I understood you fixed it before benching, right? I was almost thinking about removing it in here too lol But really strange to see things like that coming that way from the factory... Very well deserved score even more after some scary stuff like the pin "mod" -

Yes we are =) damn I got some pins out of place too.. now I'm not completely sure if only my 655k died, or if both cpu and mobo died or just the mobo =P This was one of the competition with the highest tax of killed hardware since I started following... =P I know a lot of ppl who lost some stuff... =( Hope to get some of them back from more than one lucky draw (fuck yeah) =) but probably I won't get anything.. I'm not a lucky guy -

I just realized that no FM validation required for stage 1... =P Really strange to have different submission rules for the same benchmark but its MSI who give the rules. Hope one day we will have an huge competition without any misunderstanding (like missing screenshots, bugged submissions and non required stuff implicit in main post and explicit on small post in the middle of a huge thread) =) Anyway, had great fun benching a lot on these weeks.. Much better to just had saved the unnecessary validation this time instead of like LATIN MOA this year losing great scores opening coretemp in a extreme competition Think these things will get better and better through the time. Great time on the online qualify, expecting a great time on the AM qualify finals =) -
Massman, please see if it's possible for msi the bios with the IGP voltage as the one you've got and also unlocked memory ratio (latest beta I found in msi's German forum (I guess) has that feature already) for H55M-E33. Fought hard but done the vcore at the different controler (pin 6 is FB and pin 10 IMAX on E33), but this strict ovp on igp is really tough... +0,016v after a hard soldering time is really sad... I'll try the best without it, but again: kinda hard to compete with 1.53v against up to 2v... If there's any other way to break this protection please let us know. Thanks for everything! I Already learned a lot in this competition
-
Thanks! I already did that too... Just failed at ocp.. damn small pins to solder, even the vcore, I scratched the board to solder somewhere else than that F pin.. damn small pin but its really hard to solder without any spot... anyway... spend my day completely on that.. And really hard to follow the line, it goes back front back without any resistor anyway it worked... This week I'll test it (without ocp anyway) hoping to get good results otherwise I'll have to do it all over again in a different way... But a good bios for every body should be the rule.. for example, I think that's kinda unfair to use an afterburner with max vcore at +200mv at the same competition that people uses extreme versions unavailable for download... Anyway I know that's part of the game... At least I think that the hardest score to come is the one that's gonna be the best rewarded... So I keep having fun overclocking and benching, things that I love to do. well drunk talk. almost 5am. time to go to bed

please ask for the H55M-E33!!! (the only H55 from MSI available in Brazil) Vcore, IGP, and unlocked memory ratio (the most recent BIOS has ratio 5 as maximum). If not possible a bios, at least the vcore and ocp mods (OVP if it exists) (at least original values and the resistors), the igp and vtt has the same controllers that you've already posted so it's not completely necessary. Thanks Massman!!
