BTW there is no CPu-NB multiplier setting for llano i believe, do you see it in the asrock board? i looked through manuals for asus and they don't have a setting for the cpu nb frequency either.

I think just that retails are >>>>>>> than ES it seems to be true just by looking at those numbers. Excellent hustle you two! haha, nice effort, good stats. -
so you know the BIOS is dead? You think the board is deaD? There is a way to short the main BIOS so that the backup kicks in through fail-safe, but its not really recommended. It should auto-recover, did a flash messup?

What drive are you using? BTW i thought i saw the CPu NB multiplier in there on the UD4H, but now that I look at it its not there.

IMo 2400mhz shouldn't be limited or counted out, there are a lot of boards that say 2400 but can't do it easily. . -

good one -
thanks man, i am glad you liked it. i try to do one of these for every platform. i know it is a bit wordy, but it is really meant for like newer overclockers who might be very scared, and might enjoy knowing everything they can. as well as some tips that just aren't so obvious. if you guys have any suggestions, i always welcome and love them.

Is this a rare chip? 2700k x55+ multi..
sin0822 replied to dVeLoPe's topic in Sandy Bridge (P67/Z68) OC
yea it is very nice chip! You have good luck. Probably $400 maybe $500 if it clocks better than that. Records need like a 5900mhz cpu But this CPuis nice for an air/water cooler who wants 5ghz 24/7 -

yea it is smart, it would make sense, i would think it wouldn't be such an expensive thing to do but it is very good marketing. I always wondered why no one else did it. -

lol, i am a little butthurt i guess that he didn't use a GB board, yea really pissed. haha Maybe that would explain why CPUz seems to read proper voltages off every board but GB at release. That is very typical of ASUS, from PWMs to CPUz. So will i see an ASRock Skin? -

sin0822 replied to Massman's topic in Sandy Bridge-E / Ivy Bridge (X79) OC
Well it was something i was actually thinking about the ROG CPUz not because i just saw it, but I thought how many people actually do that and i saw it so i commented. Afterburner, why yes many use it on all cards, but that is because it is superior, normal CPUz and ROG cpuz, what is the practical difference? Other than it is already loaded, which i honestly thought was the case, i don't think people use it on purpose instead of the normal one when they use other boards. Anyways i am surprised no other manufacturer has tried to have their own skin developed. -

yea haha, I mean wow ASUS gets to advertise even on other motherboards! hahaha I just think it is well weird. But yea, you can't change it now, but yea I am sure MSI will fix that issue soon enough. -

why do you use the ROG CPUz on an MSI board? I mean why? People then dont bother to see what board. massman has a work around for it, basically you have to not reset, so set BLCk first at a higher temp and other settings that might cause reset. http://hwbot.org/forum/showthread.php?t=37294 -

ah ok. yea it didn't seem to help on the GB boards I have. I was told tho, it helps at 5GHZ+ a small bit, like raising your CPu PLL Voltage. Im go subzero when i get some time, maybe ill test it out. -

yea I should, at that time tho it didn't work with them disabled, but I am trying to figure out if they were disabled or not. I think i delayed running benchmarks until they were all disabled. Well either way it will be interesting. I test SPI pretty similar results. -

Hey is it just me, or is performance a lot better now than it was right at release with new BIOS? I am trying to do this review between the G1 Assassin 2 and the UD7, i test everything at 4.5ghz and 1333mhz memory. What I am thinking now is that I had C1E enabled with the UD7, probably throwing off things? My score for P is 6000K+ with the Assassin2, and with the UD7 back then it was only 5500. I went back and checked the screenshot, my numbers are right, the physics score tho is higher on the UD7, and GPU scores is very close on both, but subtests on the assassin2 are off the charts. I am going to go retest, but does C1E make that much difference?
