  1. Massman, for what it's worth the title of this thread needs to be edited to VI instead of IV (6 vs 4). Nice idea getting that stickied, it's a huge but helpful read.
  2. got mine at my local (columbus, OH) microcenter. It was the only l310 that I saw there, the rest seemed to be L307 or L312 from the dozen or so I looked through (there were probably 20 others though that I didn't want the guy and my wife sitting there watching me comb through boxes). Update on mine, on my Phanteks cooler I got it to complete 32m @ 49x 4c/8t at 1.3v. I tried up to 1.4 I believe last night for 50x and it wouldn't go. I've found I keep getting 0x124 BSOD. Which previously that was VTT, is that still the same, or do I need to give it something else? Using an OC Formula.
  3. L310B493 Going to need to do a fresh OS install it seems then will be able to give some feedback.
  4. Heading out to the local microcenter after work today to snag a CPU, will hopefully get a good one to pair with my ASRock OC Formula.
  5. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p3984.m570.l1313&_nkw=Digital+K%2FJ+Type+Thermometer+Metal+Thermocouple+1300%C2%B0C&_sacat=See-All-Categories Is what I've purchased in the past.
  6. that is one of the craziest heatspreaders I've ever seen. nice score!
  7. +1 to get the official rules page updated. My team has had various submissions get deleted because they didn't follow the hidden non-posted rule set.
  8. wow nice sticks. What did you use for VCCSA/VCCIO?
  9. 7100 pi is absolute craziness. Can't wait to see some submissions
  10. glad you posted this k404. I ran aquamark last night and set a team record, I setup my CPU-Z/GPU-Z windows, made my own screenshot then hit the 'save validation' (or whatever it was called) button and got an unable to read data file error message. very annoying. Now I know I have to hit the screenshot button (even though apparently it doesn't just do that).
  11. wow very well done! now to see someone hit the 50k mark!
  12. very nice score! Glad to see that 680 get put to some use
  13. Thanks Honda, that is what I was afraid of. I bought an MVG should be here by the end of the week to rule out the possibility of it being my MIVE.
  14. Tried 3202, same issue. Pretty much out of ideas now. I switched back to my 2600k and the RAM is hitting exactly where it should.
  15. Nice find, thanks. I'll see if I can get my hands on that BIOS to try ruling it out.
  16. Anyone know of any other IB-supported BIOSes for the MIVE? I have had a terrible time with my MIVE and the 3770k that I just purchased. This morning I updated to the latest BIOS posted on Asus's site (3208) and did a cmos reset and swapped out my 2600k [worked with 0 issues] and popped in the 3770k. First of all It won't boot with rated speeds on this memory (it would work on the 2600k no problem): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231454 Which from what I can tell it is PSC per a thread on XS. The fastest I can get it to boot is DDR3-2000 - which sometimes gives an F2 boot code. Consistently 1866 is the highest I can go [without messing with bclk]. Whether I try using the XMP profile or set it up myself via the rated timings I just get debug code '23'. I tried looking in the manual for that code but I can't find anything directly stating 23 unless maybe I am blind. Beyond that problem it appears that most of the time I boot into Windows both of my monitors go into Power Saving mode and won't ever come back out. I've updated and downgraded my nVidia drivers (I have a single GTX 580 Matrix card) and it hasn't made any difference. -- edit it looks like the only driver that is working somewhat consistently is the microsoft auto-install one (290.xx) Anyone have any ideas?
  17. Congrats Smoke! You took #1 pro overall! Now to see what Andre has up his sleeves
  18. Pretty impressive score there, what's the tweak?!
