ATHLON 64 Neo MV 40 in HP DV2 1090EG Overclocking
Antinomy replied to a topic in AMD CPU Overclocking
Try AMD Overdrive though as I remember, it can change everything but HT frequency (the thing you need). If it's so, download SetFSB, the latest and try to pick up your generator. Did you try all of them? -
I can't say certainly. I've seen similar things being a result of high compression JPEG (but the colour is strange for this in this case) or high overclocking. OTOH it can be screen editing done quite lame. As Mr. Scott mentioned, the letter "p" is over the white line and this makes me think it's a API bug that could be caused by video memory. Except that video memory isn't any close to super-frequency, 1100 is not quite high. May be a memory controller in the GPU, but this I leave to experts, I'm lame in this. The letter makes me think it's an API bug like this: http://hwbot.org/community/submission/677611_vediovis_wprime_32m_2x_pentium_3_600mhz_slot_1_100mhz_fsb_2min_53sec_590ms

Nope, a reported submission is only a reported submission. If it's really fake then don't complain. Try to show your arguments to the moderators and admin. They are not fans of conversation though sometimes respond and sometimes quickly. But only sometimes. The best we can do - is make our efforts not in cheating but in cheat-proofing. If everyone would share their ideas the competition would only win of this.

There is a bug with achievements: http://hwbot.org/community/achievement/910_overclocking_baby http://hwbot.org/community/achievement/902_overclocking_emperor these are not shown on the achievements tab, only the main profile tab, for example: http://hwbot.org/community/user/optytrooper?tab=profile http://hwbot.org/community/user/smoke

Truly the best hardware maniac of our country at least, happy birthday!

Quite a questionable argument Indeed, HWBot was developed as a tool for comparing a massive amount of results achieved by different people and hardware in several benchmarks. But at the moment it's more often a tool for comparing achievements within on category (I mean h/w rankings, not global). And the cards can be compared within each other. But this story is quite old and has been discussed more than once before. Nobody listened before nobody will now. Adding these cards won't turn charts upside down. Even if so, they can be excluded from overall charts (but there's not many people using them though).

E5200 @ 3.0Ghz = problem! I need some help :D
Antinomy replied to cs.oyen's topic in General overclocking
Set DRAM frequency to 667. quite a common mistake. When you overclock, are there lower ram speeds? I mean when bus speed is not 200. -

What's the chipset in your Netbook? -
Achievements - What do you want?

Well, if it's an achievement like the cooling or vendor then there's nothing to beat. And if it's a socket one you'll see the results everywhere if the guy is a socket king -

Hm, the "socket king" achievements won't have a level (or two levels - the guru and king) but they are more likely than the medals or cooling for example. So it would be nice to select manually, if possible. -

Still too complicated. And once again - FWIW? If I don't fill up the MoBo info cause I'm lazy, I won't be able to get the achievement? Also, this splits competition into too many classes. As Massman said much more than once - "don't implement a rule that is too hard to trace out". The CPU socket is easy to tell - it's CPU-Z. Let's take the socket 5 and socket 7. Can you tell whether a certain result was achieved with a socket adapter or not? CPU-Z is too buggy when working with old hardware. It can't even detect the multiplier though third-party software is able in the same case. -

FWIW? The motherboard is inprecise - so why don't just use the more accurate one instead of implementing two methods? -
Covering driver info- should be made illegal?
Antinomy replied to K404's topic in Submission & member moderation
You mean only covering it with another window? According to this: http://hwbot.org/blog/wp-content/clipboard04.jpg it's illegal. I don't see any need in adding a rule. There's a difference though whether this was made one or all the time. -

I completely agree with this one. Sometimes socket converters are the part of the game in pushing the CPU to the edge so it doesn't have anything about the CPU itself. -
You really gotta cool down. It's a discussion about pro and contra for the moment. As for the validation, I remember the crew trying to contact with Unigine on that one. If many people will say they like it, there will be a reason to contact in order to iron the glitches. The crew is not that dumb, you know

Yes, it's about editing the nv4_disp.inf, you're right. Just find the part where the videocards are being listed. Then seek for the dev_ID of your 9800GX2 and copy a line from an existing card. Then replace the DevID in a new line and then the name. There can be two places were you have to insert the devID, but the name is required only in one - the localizable strings. -

Why can't you just add the support of the 9800GX2 ID into the drivers?
