  1. You can start looking for AMD K5 benches for the long Spi32M But I agree about the link on the results.
  2. Another suggestion about the achievements placement. Please, put the manufacture achievements (i.e. AMD, Intel, NVIDIA and ATI) in one line. Otherwise the page body is a bit too long for a comfortable view.
  3. I think those who like everything don't see a reason to make a reply So you made me to do this. We've got a proverb in Russia on this. "Would be better, but it turned out as always". So I hope it won't turn out as always and will be implemented to correctly serve the requirements that it was developed to. Don't worry. The best we can do is not increasing the entropy.Though, assuming the only way to do so is to die, I suggest we rock 'n' roll and don't give a damn to entropy
  4. I thought the idea was about using the AGP video. Well, it's a different case then. Be careful with the VRM
  5. Quite funny. In the games the situation about multiple threading is even worse than in 3DMark. You won't achieve anything significant moving from 4 cores to 6 cores. It would be interesting to read such an AGP + AM3 review still.
  6. True combo for what? Can you tell how many percent of cards will gain anything? And in what tests and how much? As for me it's only 3DMark06 and only 5-6 cards like 4670 or 3850.
  7. Well, every platform becomes discontinued sooner or later, I don't think there's a difference when to add it to the achievements. Maybe someone likes to perform in only new hardware. And the old school guys will try to get the Socket A award most likely. So I see no problem. But add only desktop platforms - the server and mobile ones are not that fun IMO.
  8. I know. But this is a thing that can't be measured. The total benchmark time - can be
  9. I think some of us won't leave no matter the score they see. The only reaction most will show is a smile like this - then end up with their coffee and say - were the hell was that last dewar I kept for the rainy day?
  10. Another achievements suggestion - "Magic people, Voodoo people" - bench one card of the each following series - Voodoo3, Voodoo4 and Voodoo 5. I mean - at least one of each series. Hey, Massman, you are free to check this out for achievements: http://www.wow-achievements.com/achievements/general/none/ And you can make an achievement "I've spent my life on this" - the total time of all benchmarks - the 2D are easily counted, the 3D all but Aqua have fixed length and Aqua can be calculated with it's score. So the levels would be - I've spend an hour, I've spent a day/week/month/qr./year/life
  11. That's what I had in my mind, but it may be a little complicated for coding.
  12. Yes, that's exactly what I thought it would like. And the king is bigger, good catch. Would be very nice, but how to tell which is better?
  13. Why not make a golden label like the "level X" ones and write "king" on it? This will differ the guy from "Gurus". Simple as it sounds
  14. Yes, it really sucks. But at least 1-2 times a year this should be done otherwise the value of the award will lower (and this award is a very good one to fight for in some categories). If they are to be revised in certain time - for example, around NY and the end of June, everyone will be aware of this so no moaning Oh, and don't add the achievement for the newcoming socket at least half a year - until the first wave of popularity is over.
  15. Then the cap should be revised sometimes under certain conditions. For example if the number of such gurus doubles. I don't say their number should stay the same though. Then how about posting the lists for each socket? I think there shouldn't be more than 10 gurus in categories like socket A. yes.
  16. I think fixed cup/medal total. The fixed submission is like the "addict" achievement.
  17. Maybe making it the top 10% performers in this socket if their overall number is above 100 and 10 if it's between 40 and 100? And 20% if it's under 40 persons? It's just loud thinking, you are welcome to discuss the calculation.
  18. I think 2D is enough. Another way to increase the CPU tests popularity. And I agree with richba5tard about two levels of award. But it shouldn't be a fixed value. I think it should depend from the category. Maybe top 5-10? Or at least to make a list of sockets - socket 3, 7, 8, 370, Slot 1, Slot A, 462, 423, 478, 754, 939, 775, AM2, AM2+, AM3 (or combine AM into one?), 1156, 1366. These should have a king. But how to check, how much people should be awarded? It's unreal to get 100 points in s423 or socket 8. Though, you may be right about >=100 points - if the category is weak there shouldn't be many people awarded. OTOH the socket can have a low number of CPUs and despite the popularity it won't be able to get 100 points. So I think some exceptions should be done. But for socket A 100 points looks fine. As for the icon - if you're speaking about the achievement icon, it should be like you painted. If you'll make a hall of fame for the selected socket, the icon can be like in the leagues. And it would be nice to put this in the signature. For the "Dual Socket guru" (the one that's not the king) you can take the top 10 in dual socket 7, 8, Slot1, socket 370, 462 rankings - the workstation sockets. For the dual socket you can name it "Twinhead" and put my countries crest on it
  19. I've seen a PSU with two power cords. Maybe in the near future it will be more common. Luckily, that's not a problem is Russia. But if you take an old house, playing with a lot of wattage can make your wires in the walls burn
  20. Mr. Scott :celebration: This thread is about achievements. Batch and revision are already been discussed here: http://hwbot.org/forum/showthread.php?t=8092And if you want a new region - ask to add it in a new thread here: http://hwbot.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=57 If it's worth, it'll be added.
  21. What exactly you mean under the american region? USA, Canada or the countries too from both Americas? Write a letter to richba5tard or make a thread in a forum if you want such
  22. The problem is that it's the o/c league ranking. But the hardware league ranking doesn't work for countries and regions.
  23. Hondacity You must've missed something http://hwbot.org/rankings/overclocker/region/asia
  24. I know about the overload. But if the calculations are right it's overloaded more than 50% above it's wattage!
  25. Well, why not? If you do so, it would be nice to fix the country's and region's hardware rankings (the o/c league works fine, the hardware one doesn't).
