ASUS ROG MAXIMUS APEX Z790 | APEX 15
I tried G7400 the other day and ran into the same problem, so can’t really help haha. I feel like such a noob with it on ln2. But when I ran 12300 it really “just worked”, and behaved like a typical alder lake cpu. So you might be right.

ROG Crosshair VIII Hero / FORMULA / IMPACT / DARK HERO / EXTREME LN2 OC Guide
Renoir and Cezanne don’t have an IO die, it’s all one chip. I had dark hero and have a Crosshair VIII extreme and I know for sure those voltages aren’t there when Cezanne cpu is installed though. You can also tell because they are set through AMD Overclocking, but don’t show up in Ryzen Master or zentimings with Renoir or Cezanne.

GIGABYTE Z790 Aorus Tachyon
Yes the modules could cold boot full pot no problem, booted 8600 CL26 directly (no change in OS) and I think 9000 CL28 too. Also we couldn’t get anything stable haha, and still couldn’t at home with the sticks that cold. Problem is stabilizing the cpu imc below -140 is a big problem, and that was on the special cold bios, before the competition bios -30 caused issues. Can suggest trying to raise cpu vdd2 a bit vs ambient settings, but don’t expect more then 8200-8400 at full pot without working on it for a while.

I’m pretty sure that is just photoshop to try and hide the “serial number”, even though there is nothing useful there, and the only thing worth maybe hiding is the QR code on the right.
