Damn that looked to be a half decent card and by the sounds of things the memory pwm somehow got damaged as it's running a fail-safe voltage
-
I've just quickly edited this pic to show the mem mod which should read 3k ohm and I'd say 50k VR to ground Mem mod is yellow and read point is red

Nice mate :celebration:

To run 1b on a gt 710 you need to set batch size below 10m or it will fail at loop 4

Forgive me I forgot about avx but for most other benches it still applies

Hyper threading isn't the only thing that makes an i7 better as Intel have to do something to differ their product lines such as improving IPC which both hyper threading and more cache do the whole Idea behind the divided by core thing is to actually make it more competitive for those with an i3 and unlocked bios because they still have hyper threading in which is cheaper than a i5 and in XTU the cheapest socked i3 likely does better per core than a i5 anyway I've offered what I think is the only possible solution which is ban the use of HTT

It would be great to have an AM1 competition as I had quite a bit of fun benching AM1 Vantage and it's very tweakable as the memory speed and timings make a huge difference not to mention base clock

Dude, you are complaining about a lower end product being slower than a higher priced and higher end product, that is my point and I fail to see how you can't understand that Oh and I vote for all future comps to limited to fm2/fm2+ platforms as they are the only CPU's i can afford to bin..... Oh bunny it why not AM1 only because that way a board and CPU is only $100 I should also note I'm a strong supporter of benching lower end hardware and really think hwbot has done a good job trying to make sure everyone is included with the Challenger comps
-
For the most part the performance difference between an i5 and i7 isn't that big but xtu has a huge bias towards HTT and newer architectures and a solution for further comps if hwbot decides is to just make everyone disable HTT although for some things a i7 will still have an advantage because of more cache Unless I'm mistaken both the i5/i7 are quad cores and 1070/1080 are single card but with very different performance unlike the i5/i7

Complaining about a i7 being faster than a i5 is as good as complaining that a 1070 is slower than a 1080

Do you mind if I ask what trouble you run into? Because I was having issues with my MSI card in what seemed to be the memory when I was using ice water like a loss of 50mhz+ on mem and problems getting driver to load although I'm going to try my Asus card cold first and see how that goes because it didn't have problems with ice water -

Fricken Awesome! -
I have a Gigabyte one that the memory stocks to 800mhz but that one can still do 1180mhz although it identifies as a gt 730 in gpu z

Nice job figuring it out although if you need help in the future don't be afraid to ask personally IC on core is same as gigabyte and it was reading 1.1ohms but I used a 20k
