RocketCool Delidder !
Hey Folks, I was given the opportunity to test this tool and received it few days ago. Now the concept is clearly not new but what can make a difference is the execution and the price/availability. Nowdays delidding is clearly mandatory for anyone looking to squeeze the last drops of performance from their CPU . The RocketCool Delidder will do this perfectly safe and without worrying of damaging your CPU. First of all the tool and accesory: Using the tool is extremely easy and bulletproof . Simply put the CPU in it's designed part ,you also have a mark for the right corner,i obviously missed it but it worked perfectly even like this. Then we arrange the tool by tightening with bare hand the 3 screws, then it will look like this: Use the given tool and rotate clockwise till the sign reaches the other end : Enjoy the result: I used this tool to delid a few Skylake's so far and it worked perfectly. The quality it's very good and the IHS will never know what hit it Here is also a video made by James which should be more hintful: EDIT by MOD // removed the link to the store ... this is not a forum for sales promotion // At a price of 34.88$ + shipping . International shipping is also possible and according to James the price with shipping included should be around 50$ . * The purpose of this topic is to give more exposure to a great product and all the credit goes to it's creator James. I do not own or earn anything from this and also do not know anything about copyright issues with Roman's tool . My opinion is that anything that works good and has a good price is extremely welcome to overclocking community .

ROG Maximus VIII
Alex@ro replied to coolice's post in a topic in Skylake/Kaby Lake/Coffee Lake (-X) (Z170/Z270/Z370/X299) OCI would recommend installing windows on stock error free settings.I tried installing a new win7 x64 few days ago on overclocked settings, not much but still instability was set i guess, and i always received 7F at win7 startup and one time i got into win but stuck like you said.I reinstalled windows again (from DVD so no problems with USB) on stock settings and it worked...

[GUIDE] Skylake Memory Timings on Asus Motherboards !
Are you trying to run with 1T ? If so this is the problem, normal boards will give you a wall at 3900-3950 with 1T,you need an Impact for 4000+1T You can try to use my timings from here: This was very easy to use 3866 divider then raise BCLK , if you use 2T you should have no problem for 4000,i will test that too later today.

[FS] Strong 5960X !
Bump for a great cpu, tried again today and 5050 cache with 1.45 at -45-50 was easy stable for XTU in combination with 3480 11-11-11 super tight ram http://hwbot.org/submission/3121670 This cpu should do 5200-5300 cache easy on ln2 with high speed ram

Can't go over 3200MHz with Ripjaws V 3000 C15
U can try lower too,MFR is tricky on voltage, too low it will give you 55,too high instability or no start again..Try in 0.01V really, you might find the sweetspot which will get you to pass XTU
