I'm in too, going to make the drive up from the states. Very excited for the comp. @massman, @xyala, for participants in the World Series, what outside tools or equipment are allowed? Modded drivers, stripped OS, tweak software? PSUs, coolers or other ancillary hardware? Or none, i.e., everything will be completely standardized?

Ticket ID: 1951 Priority: High Subs entered over the last few days are not updating HW points and (Enthusiast) ranking despite queuing requests for recalculation. It seems that others are experiencing this issue as well.

Ditto. HWBoints and overall (Enthusiast) league ranking are not updating despite queuing points/ranking recalculation several times. Support ticket entered through the help center.

@ObscureParadox seems like that's correct. Prescott 478s came out in Feb '04, 775s in Aug '04.

Just a heads up to massman/mods also, I still see at least one Stage 3 sub with an R9 280X masquerading as a 7970. There may be others. Just to confirm, R9 280X not allowed for this stage, right? -

Yeah this was unclear to me too. What happens if someone submits for stage 3 as Enthusiast or lower, but then moves up to Extreme later in the comp? Would that invalidate the sub? EDIT: I'll revise my fairly stupid question, it's clear that extreme cooling undoes everything as an enthusiast and that should be that, no loopholes. Apologies, guys. -

Maybe the dearth of submissions so far in the Enthusiast Ice Storm stage results from some confusion as there is *no such card* as an R7 270X. There is an R9 270X, and an R7 260X; I'm assuming that the organizers meant the former, but could we get clarification Massman? Also just to be clear, is GTX 660 Ti allowed, or only non-Ti? It might increase participation to allow it. -

Yeah man I love it, I think it's awesome to have stages where peeps without extreme cooling can hang and the focus is on tweaking. I just figured I'd say what was on everyone's minds anyway and make sure I wasn't missing something. -

Mods re: the 32M cpu freq limit, what's to stop people with on-the-fly tuning software or boards to jack up the frequency during the run and then dial it down again for the screen shot? Do we need some kind of verification to prevent that? -
Thanks everyone, Genieben in particular, for clarifying. Is there somewhere on the site that is posted? There must be, right, and I'm just an idiot because I couldn't find it?

Hello gents, what are the rules for Trinity and Richland dual graphics? AMD abandoned the Llano numbering scheme (e.g, 6690D2), but now instead I see people making submissions for individual GPUs (like 8670D or 6670) with dual graphics enabled using Trinity or Richland iGPUs. I searched the forum but couldn't find info. Shouldn't there be a separate GPU entry for each major category of dual graphics, since enabling it changes core config and speed significantly for DX10/11? So for example, maybe a GPU page for "HD 6670 + 8670D (Richland)"? Thanks any staff for clarifying.

Agreed but just want to make sure before I make a similar investment. -

I'm thinking of making a sub in this category (PCI Heaven extreme) but don't want to put in the time if the rules are going to change. Can Massman or other staff confirm that we are sticking w/ current rules for this stage? -
Individual sub competition and stage pages coming with specific rules? I know there are going to be lots of questions, as usual...

Asus P4S8X-MX, socket 478, uses SiS 661GX chipset. And also please add the integrated graphics for this board: SiS Real 256E. This chipset and graphics are also used on the socket 775 Foxconn 661GX7MJ-H and ECS 661GX/800-M7 and socket 478 ECS 661GX-M if it helps you at all to add those at the same time. Thanks!

Just sold my only K7, man was that a dumb idea. Any word on when the real thing is happening? -
Hola Massman and other fine staff. With the new login window, I can no longer log in to my account. I do not have Google, Facebook or any other social network accounts, but the only other option is to register. I'm already registered. I don't see another option for just a plain old login. I am on an iPhone 5, Safari via iOS 6, my favorite platform for forum browsing and watching my global points slowly trickle away.

Well done Australia, Germany and Indonesia! Maybe if the US can get a little more organized next year we can give you guys a more serious run. -

Look I think if we're all honest with ourselves we know someone out there is going to be gunning for our score at any point, even from our own team if coordination isn't good like in Country Cup (much easier in Team Cup). Even if you haven't seen it yet, you know someone out there in the wide world is already trying to beat that score you just put up, so you just need to get faster. I just assume everyone's sandbagging and take every free minute I have (not many!) trying to make it faster even up to the last minute, just to do the best I can, and knowing I'll probably get beat since I don't have a pot! But I feel like that's the real spirit of the competition... -

UE50 just dropped an LN2 bomb on the hybrid and APU stages. Nice work Deutschland. Gonna be a photo finish!
