All excellent points mate but it just adds to the problem with this thread, there's plenty of "Here's why you shouldn't do that" posts and very very few actual hardware/bench suggestions.
I was just suggesting something a little bit outside the norm but obviously it's not to peoples liking ? -

I like the idea of the 3000G, It's a cheap unlocked part with an iGPU so you can have both 2D and 3D stages for it, it'll also run on a cheap B350 board.
Also removes the possibility of using a higher end CPU to gain a couple extra points overall with a low end dGPU.
SuperPI (32M of course), X265 4k, 3DMark06 and Sky Diver/GPUPI 1B would be my votes.
For a tiebreaker stage Mem freq would be fun to see or 3DMark11 Physics is something else that could work.Just to add a little more clarification to this
Step 1: 3000G is available on every continent so far as I'm aware
Step 2: It's got a $50 USD MSRP so I think it's covered under the "cheap" part of Cheapaz Chips
Step 3: Hardmods, not so much but there's plenty of efficiency to work out
Step 4: 32M, 3DMark11 Physics and 06 are definitely tweakable as is x265 to an extent
If people have some other suggestions for hardware/benches then by all means throw them up, that's what the thread is for guys- 1

Ok I get the point and the message
I will be more careful for my subs because everybody searching for the insufficient validation
Try not to take it personally mate, everyone makes mistakes
Best thing you can do is learn from it and move forward, I have complete faith you can do better -

For me nothing
Congratz for the 1st place
Others find weird stuff etc...
Weird for example is that the mod which is 2nd in place blocked my cb scores with g530 and g2020
I won't derail this thread but your scores were reported as invalid and upon checking them they were indeed invalid according to the rules for that benchmark.
Feel free to open a new thread or PM me about it if you'd like, more than happy to talk you through the rules for each bench
Grats to @ObscureParadox for the gold and looking forward to the rerun with the CPU-Z version visible -

Does GPUPI run on the Vega 3? That would be cool. Good balance with 3DMark06 needing memory performance and GPUPI probably being all GPU core.
GPUPI runs on all GCN based iGPUs starting from Spectre onwards

The 3000G will probably be a pain to run on anything other than 10 so benches need to be OK for windows 10, I guess mostly this just means mandatory benchmate.
I think;
- 2D 1 - light/singlethreaded - cpu-z max frequency or superpi
- 2D 2 - heavy/multithreaded - CB15 or HWBOT x265 4K
- 3D 1 - light/CPU bound - ice storm unlimited or a legacy 3DMark if they work with benchmate
- 3D 2 - heavier/GPU bound - night raid, or maybe sky diver?
- Tiebreaker - cpu-z max memory frequency, maybe?

3rd gen would be good if we're going for less popular. 2nd gen has almost as many stages as 1st gen imho
I don't recall a stage that required 2nd gen to be used but would be nice for Tonga and Antigua to get some love.

Would be cool to see a tahiti core or gcn 1 cores only stage. I loved OC on that arch, was more straightforward than it has become.
1st gen GCN has had a fair bit of love in the past, why not 2nd or 3rd gen this time around?
Something like Unigine Heaven would be good to see imo -
Nicely done mate, very impressive

I just used memory I knew was easy enough to work with, I've no doubt there's more in it :)

Congrats mate, knew you could do it!

Thanks mate, this was a random Ebay chip, 0906FPMW is the batch

Nice work @cnzdrn!!

Whatever this runs out to, i would appreciate a "don't participate in seasonal rankins" button under user settings if this gets pushed through, cause for me date is usually whatever boards default to after BIOS reset, and i certainly don't care for including backgounds/notepads/benchmate/whatever on random HW point farming runs on old HW (CPU-Z doesn't work at all on some stuff, so that's out)...
Don't know if that's possible but this would be good for those that don't care about that ranking

Just have a notepad open with the date or if not available; just have a file named that way (date)
Can also make cpuz 1.91 obligatory (10th of Dec).
Just replace on USBs and make checking the version a personal habit. The newer CPU-Z requirement makes the most sense to me and it's something most people already do.
Sad to see this happen but I guess there will always be people looking to do what they can to gain internet points.- 1

Nice one mate, might have a go at this one myself :D

This CPU was released after this years Country Cup competition had started therefore it's not eligible to be used in any of the stages.

Released after comp started, not eligible sorry.

Need to include a validation link.

Yeah it's not well documented, every time I fire it up I learn something new.
Good to see the different configs people are using

The entire point of this thread is for people to suggest hardware that could be viable for a comp
Seems to have taken a detour somewhere though....
