  1. PM sent about Dewar local pickup. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
  2. OP, I don't think that's limited to Star Brite Liquid electrical tape only, IMO if you pour any LET/Plasti dip near RAM slots/ GPU, you will have capillary action. Has happened to me before. This why I just cover the base of RAM slots/GPU slots with eraser. Then you can pour freely.
  3. I'll answer that question with a question. Can you figure out all the people that used this cheat with X265 & more importantly Hwbot Prime ( cause it's been around longer).? If no then let $@39@ be given the same "punishment" as Cinebench cheaters. Seems okay?? As for banning everyone. I'd rather have 50 honest benchers that 500 in which I don't which are cheaters & which are not. This way, when I can't match the efficiency of someone I'm chasing, I can blame my lack of skills & not have to worry about how that person found another way to cheat after having no consequences for their previous offense. 4. Confused what you are trying to say here, but that ban was well deserved. And a good decision from Hwbot's side. But just because he was banned doesn't make it okay for the Cinebench guys to walk away. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
  5. Yes, you would definitely know better than me when it comes to Galax stuff. I will not argue otherwise. All I know that I also read on FB that GOC bios is designed to not work with ES cards. But I think he used a retail card. I believe it is possible to tell from the Device ID, but his scores are gone, so can't check anymore. Do you have a screenshot that shows that he used an ES card? And even if it makes him an elite, doesn't change the fact that if Hwbot were to ban him, a similar action is warranted against the Cinebench cheaters, Elite or otherwise. 6. That BIOS is available to any Ln2 Overclocker participating in Galax Comp, Extreme or otherwise. It was the same last year, so I'm not sure if that makes him an Elite. There's no elite envy, just pointing out the inconsistency in consequences for rule breaking actions. But if you wanna play the victim card, go right ahead.
  7. Yes, I agree with what you say. All I argue is that the judgement has to be impartial. If the consequence for similar actions from 2 different people are different for both, then I would argue that the judgement was not impartial. I'd rather avoid the Vendetta accusations. But will do if absolutely necessary.
  8. Calling for 1 year ban here instead of a month, but there was not a single consequence for the Cinebench debacle IIRC. Seems fair?? Also some people (know of atleast 1 instance) submitted scores with the modified cinebench files after the whole thing was over & there scores were deleted by the mods, who now knew what to look for. But the person who submitted the scores wasn't banned. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
  9. ^^^ This. While I do not condone cheating, seems like part of $@39@ crime was cheating while not being Elite. Someone of the people slinging mud at him have skeletons of their own in the closet, they just seem to be able to walk away scot free.
  10. Still 49 days left to go & as I said, stick to whatever decision that was made earlier. It is unfair to people who already invested in the hardware, even if its just 1 person, it is not fair.
  11. People don't problem with the decision taken, the problem is when the decision was taken. All those problems you list were known before the comp started, why didn't you think of it then???? People who spent their money asked, explicitly http://forum.hwbot.org/showpost.php?p=490786&postcount=25 Why didn't you say no then??? Also we don't have any special boards available here in USA either. Fact of the matter is, on a platform with CB & an IMC that barely scales after 3400Mhz RAM, all you need is a board with a halfway decent VRM setup & you are good. Case in point, $@39@`s 3DMark - Time Spy score: 14263 marks with a GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Maybe if you people had the ability to stick to your decisions instead of flip flopping half way through, people would respect you more. Edit:- Also, CPU availability has been bad in USA as well. There were some CPUs available at launch & then nothing for past 3 weeks or so. Just had some new stock in last week, most of which was sniped by scalpers.
