Correct. If you are #1 in both, the prize of the mobile will go to second place. You can still compete and show what your Mac is capable of, though. That would actually be an interesting challenge! -
Fastest MFR based SuperPI 32M runs - Full out and 4G/5G
Massman replied to Massman's topic in Haswell (Z87/Z97) OC
Hahaha //edit: George, since I know I can trust your judgement, how much stretch is there on the MFR performance wise? Higher frequency is not going to help as you keep dragging the RTLs up too, but what about lower tCL and tWL? tRDRD should be possible at 4 with cold, I guess? -

Contest rules say "Please attach a picture of your overclocking rig". You just attached a promo picture of the motherboard. Please attach a picture of the system or the score has to be removed from the competition. If you can't upload it yourself, you can sent the system picture in email to me and I'll link it for you. I'll leave the score up in the contest for a couple of days so there's time for you to upload that system picture. Thanks! -

Small update to the rules: One prize per person, ranked "desktop", "mobile", "lucky draw". -
Hm, they removed the option?

Can you provide links to the two teams? I would prefer not to delete any teams, because it will mess up the rankings. But if there are no more members in the old team, I can rename it so you won't have two teams with the same name

Fastest MFR based SuperPI 32M runs - Full out and 4G/5G
Massman replied to Massman's topic in Haswell (Z87/Z97) OC
Read it already! The conclusion sums it all up quite accurately. For pure MHz it's a go-go, but if you want performance, you can go 40% cheaper with better performance. Nicely done! :celebration: -
Fastest MFR based SuperPI 32M runs - Full out and 4G/5G

Price performance figures must be aweful. For some high-clock 4x4GB high density kits you're paying well over €1000, with not a single bit more performance. In fact, more money brings lower performance. I have a strong urge to fill the "rant about reviews"-thread with a list of all sites that recommend these MFR based memory kits -

Djeez, that is quite rude, Andre. Is it not ever possible to just respond normally? -

Fastest MFR based SuperPI 32M runs - Full out and 4G/5G
Massman replied to Massman's topic in Haswell (Z87/Z97) OC
Thanks for the info. So about 15 seconds slower at 5GHz. Well, that settles it then. I'm not going to be running any MFR for SPI performance runs -
Fastest MFR based SuperPI 32M runs - Full out and 4G/5G
Massman replied to Massman's topic in Haswell (Z87/Z97) OC
Full out => best score 4G / 5G => best score, therefore best efficiency I'm curious about these SuperPI 32M runs because there seems to be a battle going on for the best MFR based SuperPI 32M runs. -
Hm, your best retail 3Dmark01 result is this one: http://hwbot.org/submission/2342070_sofos1990_3dmark2001_se_geforce_gtx_580_161948_marks But it's not getting any points because it's not your best submission in the global ranking. It would get around 39pts if it would be ranked, so that would be included in your league points. Let me check if that is by design or a bug.
