  1. It takes all my strength to not put up a really angry reply to this one, but do you really think I didn't explain this (about a dozen times)? Of course it is not possible for me to put email threads out in public, so I cannot "prove" anything.
  2. There are things I cannot change, no matter how much I care ...
  3. That's what the Australian guys figured as well. They went up from 1370 to 1400+ points by tuning the memory. I like it!
  4. ^^ This must be the saddest thing I've read on the internet this week. Who writes "hey douche, your internet picture is shit" on the forum anyway?
  5. Video sounds like a good idea. How many people are opposed to this? Please present your opinions in the most rude manner possible!
  6. That's a very high Vccin you're using. The official Intel guideline is "Vcore +~ 0.5v = Vccin". So for 1.65V Vcore, you would go for about 2.2V Vccin. You should think about the Vccin-Vcore ratio on Haswell like the Vuncore-Vdimm ratio on Gulftown. Sure, you could run 2.2V on the memory, but a lot of Gulftown chips would degrade or die because of it.
  7. Just to clarify, the EPower / other vendor external PWM rule also applies to Class B!
  8. Confirmed. Are disallowed: - epower - any VRM from a different vendor than MSI - any titan picture with any other brand than MSI or Nvidia (you can use another brand of Titan but don't show that brand in the picture)
  9. I'm around that with lower memclk. 14m25s, but for some reason I'm not able to hit 4G NBclk anymore, since the 8G 1M chip seems to have given up
  10. Enabled = worse, disabled = better. That's how it works.
  11. Just messing about in the lab ...
  12. The logic is based on the Product Sku, not factory, batch or serial number. The rules are not narrowed down to GPU production date either. So, to make this clear one more time. The rules are, just like they have always been: - GTX 780 Reference/Gaming = released = allowed - GTX Titan = released = allowed - GTX 780 Lightning = not released = not allowed GPUZ BIOS must be either MSI or Nvidia. Waiting for final confirmation on EPower usage.
  13. Pictures, I assume. Awaiting response by email.
  14. No, the benchmark are decided and will not change. TBD will change shortly (still adding the specific benchmark limitations).
  15. Hold off on buying EPowers for this competition. I received an email earlier today that might mean they are disallowed. More info today.
  16. I give up
  17. The rules are clear, no? If the card is not available at the beginning of the competition, it cannot be used. - GTX 780 Reference = available => can be used - GTX 780 Lightning = not available => can not be used Doesn't matter what marketing or advertising value the card has.
  18. Looks like the story went viral - http://www.techpowerup.com/186056/amd-super-pi-history-to-be-rewritten-courtesy-of-the-stilt.html - http://www.xbitlabs.com/news/cpu/display/20130622092423_Low_Performance_of_AMD_Microprocessors_May_Be_Conditioned_by_Poor_BIOS.html - http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/forum/cpus-motherboards/61801-stilt-releases-bulldozer-conditioner-software-amd-superpi-history-hwbot.html - http://www.overclock.net/t/1402792/hwbot-the-stilt-releases-bulldozer-conditioner-software-amd-superpi-history-to-be-re-written - http://www.eteknix.com/amd-super-pi-performance-fixed-with-patch-benchmark-record-to-be-smashed/ - http://nueda.main.jp/blog/archives/006734.html - http://www.overclockers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=733638 - http://www.techsweden.org/content/nyheter/nytt-optimeringsverktyg-till-amd-bulldozer-f%C3%B6r-r4164 Massive response from the enthusiast community in general. A couple argue that SuperPI is outdated and irrelevant. The former is true, the latter not so much for us. Anyway, good to see so much noise being made about all this. Even if it doesn't make a difference in the future, at least The Stilt gets wider recognition for his hard work!
  19. Awesome. Does that mean you will finally get non-server parts in the lab? (if yes = win!)
  20. How's the performance scaling with frequency in comparison to Ivy Bridge? I remember even Samsung based sticks starting to cap out on performance around DDR3-2800C9 as more frequency wouldn't really provide better performance.
