Okay. I'll check with these retails I have here too. Yeah, cold(boot)bug is a little weird. I remember when testing, I had issues below +15°C at first, but then the board suddenly started booting below 0°C as well. Afterwards again +10°C. Figured it was some issue on my end. Seems not :-/.

Yeah, I agree. Fwiw, the oc issue has been on all bioses I've tested. From F2 to F4c.

When subzero, it should go just as high as the other boards, btw. The ES did 5300+ on all tested boards here, including UD7.

I shared the same opinion when we discussed this latest revision internally. My suggestion was to only award a minimum of 60p if the category, at one point, was so competitive it naturally went over 60p. In the end, we dismissed this idea because it made everything too complex. KISS-principle was applied. I think it's actually better this way.

Testing another 60X chip. First one didn't even do DDR3-2400; this one is at least booting at DDR3-2400 .

That voltage does not make any sense. Forcing it to work with that amount of V is causing an underlying issue to get fixed. My bet is on the pll override finetuning, which on the GD65 was fixable with a small workaround (ineffective on UD7). Also, I don't think the max of your chip is 4800. I don't think anyone's max is 4800. With my ES chip, I had this 4800 air wall on all boards I tested (GD65/UD7/DX79SI) and it could do 5300 on LN2 (Sabertooth/GD65/UD7) easily. On GD65 I got upto 5150 air after workaround fix. With this 3930K retail, I have a 4700/4800 air wall on the UD7, so far, but 5200 bootable on R4E. Actually, I got a similar wall before I started playing with PWM settings on the R4E ...

Khalam got 5G working with this workaround too, so I figure it actually works on ES/retail. I'm uploading a video to explain the process visually.

Does it really need that 1.625V? With that little trick, it should be running "normal" voltage range.

Test setup: - i7 3930k @ 4500 - MSI 6970 Lighting x4 - Rampage 4 extreme - 4x 2GB GTX8 - all air Okay, so wtf is going on ... seems like you get screwed over when running AMD, LOL! Yellow indicates the score you get when running SI enabled. For each configuration, SI detects the amount of GPUs correctly. Fyi, it doesn't matter how much GPUs I select in 3DMark11 with crossfire enabled, I always get ~40% load on all cards in combined. So, it's not like you get the bad scores because some GPUs aren't under load.
