  2. It has just been brought to my attention that some people are worried that the Radeon HD 7970 will be used for the final 3DMark11 stage. Since these cards have not been available at the beginning of the competition, they can not be used for this stage.

  4. Fixed, you're both captains now. Btw, it was also weekend for hwbot support team
  5. What's going on with Bench Tec UK lately? Noticed they were dropping to 7th or so a few weeks back, but now they're all the way down to 14th. I see a lot of the top guys left the team; suppose that's the reason of the massive drop.
  6. I don't understand the controversy. If the CPU is running 800MHz, how is validating that result wrong? Officially, the boards don't support 8x ratio. But then again, officially Intel doesn't support 110MHz BCLK either. Isn't "pushing the limits" what overclocking is all about? Be it pushing up or down ... it's all about getting hw to run at settings the vendor doesn't want to have it run
  7. Well, if this benchmark doesn't get the changes it needs, it'll be the last time we used it for a competition. It's so anti-competitive, it's not even funny anymore. You can't even select individual tests to check scaling! :-/
  8. Haha, what a fail stage is this . We're still trying to get the bench to do what we want, but even with an -ehem- professional version, it's not possible to test stages seperatelly?? This stage is for those who can bare sitting there for 16 minutes LOL.
  9. If the CPU is actually running at the reported frequency, what would be wrong with that?
  10. Not a mess, just a little issue with one submission that is solved now.
  11. Recalc wasn't done properly; Coldest is 3rd with 15pts.
  12. Moved. Recalc in ~ 20 minutes.
  13. Nice tweaks! Love the creativity
  14. Points are usually awarded after the competition closes. However, for team/country/competitionteam formats, there are currently not yet competition points awarded.
  15. Please explain this tweak to a staff member in PM. Staff will verify if it's a valid tweak or not. If valid, the tweak will be disclosed after the competition ends. No explanation = not valid.
  16. For those who haven't seen it yet: [HWBOT-623] - Variable end date for competition stages ETA is December 30th, so first test should be in the HWBOT OC Challenge January 2012
  17. @ Jarnis: Yes, combined, sorry. @ Dino: tested both R4E and UD7 - same problem in combined. Physics a different problem on X79 ...
