  1. Yes, the cpu has a free multi, only cpu’s with a stock multi which is higher then then 12,5x work with those multi’s. I am using ticktacs bios now, but the version from digitalbath or the original latest bios has the same issue. I don’t see any revision numbers.
  2. My 8rda6+ pro does not do a multi over 12,5x.
  3. New addition to the family: My own old board. Should at least do 250MHz.
  4. It is not hard, I just need to go upstairs ?. I have never had much issues with my 8rda6+ pro. It runs without a single issue for years now. I can’t tell for other boards thow.
  5. Nice list. I might look at it later (again). My German (writing) is not that good though.
  6. If you ever find one...
  7. Well since last time I had seen one being sold was at least a year ago and that one did €180-200. So €80 for defective is expensive, for working board is Ok. I am hoping so that it does a nice job in fsb speeds. Oh and I recap myself. I had caps allready. I would not turn this on before.
  8. Ok so we talk about alternatives. And yes, dfi is expensive when found... So I bought this defective board for €80... and it is working again (without Firewire ??).
  9. That is probably the worst I have “seen”. I reccomend testing all Winbond dimms you have and maybe tccd as well. In my experience there could be 1 or 2 dimms that run great and surprise you.
  10. From what I saw the mem controller in the nb chip is very picky. One can handle something, others can not. But there are kits who seem to do better overall. I noticed this week that my Epox board likes ds 256MB memory more then ss. My Abit boards like ss more.
  11. It is just that 1 seems broken. So that is why I never look at them. I never tested pi though.
  12. I have got some golden dragons which do 260 2-2-2-5 2t on nf2. And 1 XL kit makes it up to 260-265 c2.5 boot as well. Those Geil refuse 1t on nf2 and nf4
  13. Hynix can do C2-2-2–5 1T with 1 GB? My pc4000 D43 from OCZ won’t run tight (512’s).
  14. Didn’t Elixer make memory as well? Samsung is using dots more close to each other so I ruled them out. I think I have to take the heathspreader off to really take a good look. I will look at that later (“at work” now).
  15. I think that was what I was saying. But the point was it is running c2 tight. A 1GB dimm is running c2 tight...
  16. By accident I found 2 GEIL 1 GB dimms which do C2-2-2-5 1T @420MHz and 3v (never tried lowering the voltage). I never knew this was possible. Let alone on Socket A with it’s limited memory controller when looking at NF4. They have a Brainpower pcb as well. When looking at the bottom they are not Winbond. Is this Elixer?
  17. I don’t think lower versions then v2.00 are relevant.
  18. I am not surprised. Auto660 modded this board earlier this year and that board ran well as well.
  19. Link to english versions: https://www.infineon.com/cms/en/about-infineon/press/market-news/2003/128273.html https://www.infineon.com/cms/en/about-infineon/press/press-releases/2002/128489.html luckily Infineon organizes the way I would do it. ?
  20. I just counted: I own 18 BH chips. The rest is CH. These are relabled on the ic’s sometimes. But never as Infineon for BH. 2 Kingston BH were able to run PI 1M @3.6v and 270MHz.
  21. I know, but those C2-3-2-6 dimms were no Winbond dimms. For the others. Those are Winbond, but some CH5 do 210-215 with 3.2v while I have CH5 dimms doing 235-250 with 3.2v.
  22. No not yet, but I don’t think I will because while pre binning anything that does not boot 235MHz C2-2-2-5 1T or higher on my test socket A bench is not selected for further testing. I will be running these dimms on NF4 as well just to be sure. After that all not properly binned will go. All Promos and others I had which actually posted on C2-2-2-5 1T only ran 200MHz. Nothing ever did >205MHz on those timings. So I think it really should be CH5. I have got a box with all dimms that did post >205MHz C2-3-2-6 1T. Waiting somewhere to something or nothing. I hardly use those.
  23. Ah but these dimms work with C2-2-2-5 1T. I allready tested them. I thought so that they probaly didn’t do any c2-2-2-5 but C2-3-2-6. I never saw Promos doing a boot on these speeds. This Kingston runs 213MHz C2-2-2-5. Not a speed monster but still.
  24. Thanks for the info. But: the 2 metal dots on the long side are a little smaller then with a Winbond dimm as far as I can see. Do those Promos also run C2-2-2-5?
