I just dioscovered that while using the Infrared (1T) bios I can actually boot to Windows while using auto settings foor cpu speed and voltages and memory settings on optimal. This leaves the CPU @600MHz and memory 266MHz. When I start WPrime is hangs after a few seconds. Bad caps? Edit: just lowering cpu or memory speed was not enough.

I will try these again. Thanks the new an7 board was stable for a Short while, just not anymore. I think this could be bios related. I now use an Enduracel bios, 16de8cpc1t. I also tried hist other bios files.

They are rock solid when not going to Windows. As soon as Windows starts instability starts. I am thinking of a driver issue, a bios version or something else. Thinking of it, nothing will ever beat the stability of my 8rda6+ pro in my experience so far.

Hi all, Since some time I have 2 Abit AN7 boards. Great boards and I can mod the NB voltage and all... But the Windows XP installation and stability is a horror. While installing I had to make backups of every reboot in the installation process and to come to that point it costs me at least 10-30 tries. I tried several bios versions (modded or not modded), ATA and SATA drives. nothing help, any idea what the problem is? Note that I also have a dfi, Abit nf7-s (2) and an Epox board working fine with all hardware.

I want to add that I found this (photo) PCI-e x1 card and it boots my ps2 keyboard and my usb mouse (with the usb 2.0 extension I still had from my nforce2 board) straight to Windows 10 without the need of installing it. In the information which comes with it, it is stated that it works from Windows XP and up. I tried it on a s1155 board. I will try later on my Ryzen with Win7. I will try Win XP as well. Edit 24-01-2020 (14:27): I tried booting from my USB stick with Windows 7 with the ISO from above. I put the USB stick into 1 of the 2 extra USB ports. I plugged my USB mouse into the other extra USB port and I plugged my PS2 keyboard into the card itself. On the installation screen of Windows 7 I had control of both my mouse as my keyboard. And... booting from the USB2.0 ports from the card works to. This gives me hope for Windows XP. So my question is: Why making USB ports of Ryzen work why I don't even need them?

Thanks, still tuning the memory. Put my 2x8GB single side in it now. Ruling out bad memory... Will try a clean install and win7.

I was just thinking that your block might not cover the cpu cores for cooling it in a optimal way. I didn’t test rotating it to the right yet, just to the left, altough I don’t expect much difference between those. I expect much from a review of my block, I just didn’t find one yet.

I am wondering which results you get if you turn the cpu block with 90 degrees. Even my Alphacool XPX Aurora had some temperature differences when rotating the block. I tested it before mounting the motherboard in it’s case. Idle temp should indeed be in 30’s.

There are no boxed coolers included for Ryzen 3950x.

If it has the correct holes for Socket A you have a buyer. If it takes a few weeks more that is no proiblem. I am in no rush. Edit: Never mind. I now see that my Fusion pod has Socket A mounting holes.

Hi all, I just came across a B1 stepping for Samsung B die memory. Is this the latest revision? Link to specs It seems to be running fine altough it hates 1T for now. I didn’t OC ddr4 and the leatest and greatest for 2 years now. Maybe I just mist this revision. Dimms are from Aug 2019. Quick PI 32M check at 3466MHz C15 at 1.35v. Oh and these are DS. Edit: don’t mind the 7700k speed, that is low speed for this one (safe setting, in a case now).

Thanks. I was hoping for NF7-s. These should also work on my NF7 non S (others work when switching chips). I have 3 nf7-s/nf7. Too bad 8rda6+ pro is not one of them. But still... ?? Edit: It seems a problem board so far. Mounting is a living hell (somehow the cpu is not mounted Ok 70% of the times). And even with oc bioses en known cpu’s it won’t post on oc settings 90% of the times. Edit2: Solved al issues by using a different bios. Running 267MHz FSB 1T (post) now. Memory was in sync at 2.5-4-4-8.

That is a high bus speed. Do you have a changelog? I will download them later today and make sure to test them. I have more then one bios chip anyway. Edit: Thank you for the effort I was wondering if you made changes to other socket A mainboard bios files? I have more good mainbords at home...
