  1. I think that was what I was saying. But the point was it is running c2 tight. A 1GB dimm is running c2 tight...
  2. By accident I found 2 GEIL 1 GB dimms which do C2-2-2-5 1T @420MHz and 3v (never tried lowering the voltage). I never knew this was possible. Let alone on Socket A with it’s limited memory controller when looking at NF4. They have a Brainpower pcb as well. When looking at the bottom they are not Winbond. Is this Elixer?
  3. I don’t think lower versions then v2.00 are relevant.
  4. I am not surprised. Auto660 modded this board earlier this year and that board ran well as well.
  5. Link to english versions: https://www.infineon.com/cms/en/about-infineon/press/market-news/2003/128273.html https://www.infineon.com/cms/en/about-infineon/press/press-releases/2002/128489.html luckily Infineon organizes the way I would do it. ?
  6. I just counted: I own 18 BH chips. The rest is CH. These are relabled on the ic’s sometimes. But never as Infineon for BH. 2 Kingston BH were able to run PI 1M @3.6v and 270MHz.
  7. I know, but those C2-3-2-6 dimms were no Winbond dimms. For the others. Those are Winbond, but some CH5 do 210-215 with 3.2v while I have CH5 dimms doing 235-250 with 3.2v.
  8. No not yet, but I don’t think I will because while pre binning anything that does not boot 235MHz C2-2-2-5 1T or higher on my test socket A bench is not selected for further testing. I will be running these dimms on NF4 as well just to be sure. After that all not properly binned will go. All Promos and others I had which actually posted on C2-2-2-5 1T only ran 200MHz. Nothing ever did >205MHz on those timings. So I think it really should be CH5. I have got a box with all dimms that did post >205MHz C2-3-2-6 1T. Waiting somewhere to something or nothing. I hardly use those.
  9. Ah but these dimms work with C2-2-2-5 1T. I allready tested them. I thought so that they probaly didn’t do any c2-2-2-5 but C2-3-2-6. I never saw Promos doing a boot on these speeds. This Kingston runs 213MHz C2-2-2-5. Not a speed monster but still.
  10. Thanks for the info. But: the 2 metal dots on the long side are a little smaller then with a Winbond dimm as far as I can see. Do those Promos also run C2-2-2-5?
  11. Infineon 6A is defenitly the real deal. Why: the same dots on the ic’s, the same markings on the long side. Only Winbond has them. You can see them on my photo’s as well. Only: mine boot Cas 3 so this is CH5/6. And they are scaling on voltage. I made a study of the marking on the ic’s and they seem to be unique for at least Samsung and Winbond and some other brands. You don’t need to see the text Winbond on them. They can be recognized even if the text is different on the ic’s. Take these Kingston 266MHz, they have a Kingston label on them: BH5 running at 3.2v
  12. A while back you guys told me that Infineon 6A is BH5. I have got myself a kit of Infineon 6B and this seems to be CH5/6. I was wondering if you guys noticed this as well? I was also wondering if you guys got your info about FireRAM.
  13. Piotres is still active as well, but he lives in the same country as Bartx.
  14. I recap as wel. But oc is the primary goal. It is just junk if not using it where it was build for in my eyes. But then again, I always oc’d every piece of pc hardware I had. like for instance: Back then I only noticed that my PIII motherboard had a defective fsb selection when I wanted to sell it. My 550MHz cpu never ran on the 100MHz bus so only years after buying it I found out I couldn’t run it. It only ran on it’s maximum FSB setting...
  15. I would say keep and mod it. in my eyes anything that does not run 2.7GHz is not worthy.
  16. I think I won’t be explaining how it works for him. But it needs a little more effort to make it work 100%. He knows most of it. Earlier he gave some info in the Discord ddr forum (https://discord.gg/a8kqRS). Based on his info I made a short info document earlier this year: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AlqYyDbusnPEnXlOFHasmpxGv96M
  17. Auto660 designed and build the booster (FireRAM) this year. It is much better then the ocz booster when used fully. This unit can set dimm voltage and set vtt percentage. He is using free pins of the memory banks for this. I still have to make this mod on all motherboards. The only disadvantage is that you have to order and solder everything yourself. He is on HWbot and Discord as well.
  18. I have some more work to do... All old Winbond kits (and one tccd) were found. They were never far away or sold. Even my old Mushkin kit. Trying out the MSI will have to wait.
  19. I will test the new bios files later this or next week, thank you again. I was testing a “new” nf7-s today that I bought with a nice Thermalright cooler.
  20. I ran it on auto. I only set mem timings. I am just quicktesting for now. Mem @3.2v since vtt does not scale (yet)
  21. Thanks, that is to bad. I hoped that there were more.
  22. I just ran pi 1m CB 2003 and wprime 32m. These gave no issues. 8rdavore still works as well so it seems all fine. Edit: I forgot to tell that I know for some time now that all mod bios files from nf7-s v2.0 can be used on nf7 v2.0 non sata version. I noticed that on Ebay nf7 version are not sold that quickly... Edit 2: Just quicktested the EBED (256k) modded bios for the -L and it works fine. Edit 3: 260FSB using tccd, no hw mods were done: Above seems a good reason to take this board more seriously. I used 1.7v for NB and 2.8v for tccd. @digitalbath: can you look if there is a hidden nb or agp voltage?
  23. I still have to test stability, but if a boot is possible I don’t expect to much issues.
  24. Nice, will it become dc as well with that bios? As a bios fix needed only? @digitalbath I just flashed the k7n2-ilsr bios on a 512 bios chip and succesfully booted to Windows. modding the latest 7.80 bios for ilsr should work and solve the 256 issue.
  25. I can’t use these for my msi can I? I don’t have the Asus as well.
