GIGABYTE Summer Spectacular 2017 Discussion
websmile replied to mllrkllr88's topic in HWBOT Competitions
Update and clarification on Ice Storm: If the in-benchmark settings and resolution are not changed it is allowed to change the desktop resolution. Please note the link has to show default settings being used, which is OK when the benchmark settings (aka res for example in the benchmark) are not changed and default -
ROG OCS Team Edition: Team can be created for the occasion
websmile replied to rtsurfer's topic in HWBOT Competitions
Please add pictures of your rigs to the submissions, this is mandatory. Temperature monitoring is mandatory for some stages(Hwmonitor or hwinfo), please check the rules all results with screenshots need at least cpuz cpu, mainboard and memory tab, 3D stages also GPUZ I advise again, check the rules in deep before you bench, it saves time and avoids troubles -
Typical hwbot, profile shows points, result doesnt - sigh

GIGABYTE Summer Spectacular 2017 Discussion

Lod is explicitly allowed in the rules for ice storm - we had some "complains" that changing resolution can boost result illegally, and I want to avoid drama when I check manually only (fps in relation to clocks). It is much easier and more transparent for all contestants if the link gives more security -

Please note that the 3d stages (Ice storm and catzilla) need a verification link, we will also add this to the rules explicitly. It is more safe than staff checking fps only to make sure default benchmark settings are used -
No, this is generally ruled out by rules also for non-competition benching

Old School is Best School Season 3 Round 5
websmile replied to Strunkenbold's topic in HWBOT Competitions
The rage cards and the way they are verified and sorted at database is not my business and no problem for the competition, so feel free to do this the way you think it is best, this is something you will have to handle, Gregor. For the competition this was good enough as we limited to rage and made no difference on sub categories. @TASOS I will block your score, sorry, but screenshot is the only verification accepted, good you have a seond result submitted -

I moderated the stages, with the empty mem tabs we agreed I think this is accepted if all is ok apart from this - One result has a photo as validation, may I ask what is intention of this? -

PKBO - Core i3 7350K @ 5000MHz - 10min 25sec 310ms GPUPI for CPU - 1B
websmile replied to PKBO's topic in Result Discussions
Frequency bouncing is no problem, it is not needed to show it (temps are amndatory) and CPUZ determines frequency, bouncing is same for all on 1151 - missing mainboard tab is a bit more fatal^^ -
->FB chat He should be set by now, maybe some other kits show up soon #6 sold, payment received, #4 put on hold because I need it a few more days probably

Frequency should be mandatory information because it is part of normal XTU execution and needed to check plausibility. We had this problem in the past already, I remember a thread made once by guy from USA I think

caramba1 - Core i7 5820K @ 4570MHz - 10626 marks XTU
websmile replied to Patate's topic in Result Discussions
Oh caramba -
Not sure about the screenshot, idea sounds not bad, what bothers me more is the lack of anyinformation which is why I created an internal task yesterday if we block scores like this - there is no chance for a plausibility check and for me a correct frequency reading at new gen is needed for a valid result
-
No, the rules also say single GPU, it is already in the headline and also on the rules tab
-
Yes, the screenshot is integrated in the datafile - all OK
