  1. Everytime I try to run GPUPI or any sort of GPU compute benchmark or Folding @ Home, my card downclocks to 405 mhz core and 810 mhz on the memory and goes into P8 power state. The card has NO problem in 3D applications, so I'm unsure what's going on.

I've tried 4 different drivers, tried using DDU in between them to see if that was the issue and that didn't help either. The card does this even at stock settings, but it never used to. Before I switched to Z170, on my z97 platform the card could fold all day long and run GPUPI no problem. I've sold my Z97 stuff, so I can't test if that's the issue or not.

Anyone else know what the issue is or what I can try?

    Specs listed here:

    ASUS 980 TI Matrix Platinum

    i3 6320 @ 4.4

    ASRock Z170 OC Formula

    G.Skill TridentZ 2x8Gb 3600 mhz 16-16-16-36

    EVGA 1000 P2 PSU

    Dimastech Mini V2 test bench

Full custom loop + 1080mm radiator

  2. 4.8 prime 1344k runing at 1.392v @ 72-73C package temp at the moment :)

    but nobody is interested ..

looks like im keeping it .. :D

Has it been resealed after delid? Or no? Just curious.

I think I may be able to buy it on Friday, can't promise anything though.

    You'd do $500 USD shipped to USA? (That's ~445 euro I believe)

  3. Definitely on the right track Lays and Acid mentions you just need to keep running it. You could be lucky and get it the first run when you boot up or 20 runs in.... Your timings are spot on for it too.

I ran it like 20 times and kept getting 740 or 739 :(

I guess I can try it some more though, lol

  4. Strong 4790k 4.9 ghz realbench 1 hour stable @ 1.3v. I ran the CPU at 1.33v 24/7 on ambient, @ 5 Ghz, never had any BSOD in benches or everyday use. Doesn't appear to be realbench 1 hour stable at this voltage though, but 2 hour XTU stress test, or 24/7 use + benchmarking R15/ XTU is no problem.

CPU is delid, I have original box so RMA is no issue if needed.

I should also mention IMC is good, I can do 2800-2860 9-12-12-17 fully tight @ very low IOA/IOD/VSA volt, AUTO IOD/IOA and +0.050 will get the job done most of the time in my experience!

Price: $375 shipped anywhere in USA.

PayPal goods & services, I'll eat the fees, I don't mind.

  5. I was wondering how much I can get for this, is $600 to much for all this?

    Great condition Z97SOCF, 4790k, and 2x4GB TridentX 2400 C9 kit.

I also have a random G.Skill PSC kit, I am unsure how to clock PSC, but I got them to 2600 8-12-8 loose at around 1.88v, not sure if they are good or not, not much time spent on them at all.

The 4790k does 5 Ghz 24/7 on air/water @ 1.33vcore, CPU is delid and I have original box.

    RAM does 2860 9-12-12-17 1T tight @ 2.15v or so, 2800 9-12-12-17 1T tight 2.1v.

(There are more submissions on my page of them at 2828 mhz and above fully tight)

2933 9-12-12-25 loose needs around 2.3v from DMM, but it does not bench every benchmark, real unstable maybe need 2 DIMM board to get this.

  6. What did you do with the gpu tweak bat file?

1300 mem v.good. my best so far but in 06 is 1250+. I'll need to try lower vmem. Wonder if cold bios has different mem timings allowing for higher mem clock....I'll test today.

    Which bat file?

All I did was run the "setup.exe" file in the GPUTweak folder that came in the Matrix 580 pack.

  7. Not flashed bios yet as just binning cards.

Did you get shader unlock in nvi or ab after flash?

I did try flashing .bat using that hack app but nothing changed. (Need bios flash also?)

I've not had stock coolers off yet to check mem ic but just set 1.85 for binning mem. I'll need to revisit at lower v if sammy as they might do better with a little less.

Gather the cold bios is the one to use but what are the rest for?

Binned using 1150mv through software. Cards ranging from 980-1k+ core so far. :) (06)

All I benched was heaven extreme, at 1172 mhz around -55c on pot under load @ 1.425v software, 1300 on mem @ 1.75v software. I used cold BIOS yeah.

Didn't use nvi or AB for OC whatsoever, only GPU Tweak version that came in the matrix 580 pack I downloaded. Zip file with lots of stuff in it.

    Here's result:

    http://hwbot.org/submission/3105703_

Card really struggled past 1150 mhz, I think coz temp wasn't very low since only DICE

  8. Recently diced my 580 matrix plat, had no issues with gpu tweak. Went up to like 1.425v on core, 1.75v mem, no issues.

I assume you got that zip file with all the 580 matrix stuff? That + cold bios is what I used!

  9. If it really is true what you guys are saying and MOCF isn't coming out, I will be really mad...

Been saving up to switch to z170 for a few months now, and was just waiting for MOCF to be announced & retail to make the switch.

I seriously hate when companies do stuff like that, make a handful of products that only the top guys get to use, with no hope for the rest of us normal folks :(.

Maybe if I ask them in an email or something, offer to pay shipping & for the board and say I'll put their name in every submission or something.

Perhaps I can get everyone I know to post "where is the MOCF" on their social media pages :D
