"1 GPU" but it says SLI is enabled? Pls
-
Was watching LTT's livestream the other day and they mentioned something about having to pay to unlock 3-way SLI?
P So far the highest scores on the ORB:
- 19298 Fire Strike http://www.3dmark.com/fs/8538247
- 10190 Fire Strike Extreme http://www.3dmark.com/fs/8548347
- 5674 Fire Strike Ultra http://www.3dmark.com/fs/8549378
No idea where the "serious" overclocking results are though. Maybe there is an NDA on those as well?
Jayztwocents apparently talked to Nvidia at the launch about it, it's not supposed to cost money. You'll just have to request a key to enable it. I think the "charging money" is just typical anti company talk.

Figured out my issue, ignore this post

anyone know what stock is? 1700mhz?
Boost is listed as 1733 like Strong said, except like we all know, usually good cards will boost like 100 mhz higher than their "rated" clock

I have a UP7 I got off ebay about a week ago, guy said it was untested.
Double checked to make sure that it posted and everything, seems fine.
I was wondering how much is a decent price to ask?
Here's a picture if it helps:

Will his other competition points be investigated? He submitted DICE benches into rookie rumble, for all we know he's been doing it for a while.
-
Didn't you hear it's the coldest running CPU known to man
Super bin 99% ASIC, German edition with unicorn blood thermal paste
-
Agreed, I looked over his submissions and there's no way he's not using an extremely strong chiller, or SS phase / DICE with a weak mount or weak pot.

Pretty much same problem here, though I did not reinstall or swap cpu's but I did swap to 3600c15's. Constantly getting unexpected kernal mode trap, I thought it had something to do with Boot.ini/BCEdit.exe because I had XP installed and Win 10 and was changing sata ports between Intel (achi Win10 ) and Asmedia (Ide Win XP) after boot screen where it asks if I want to boot 10 or older OS's. Seemed to be working just fine with cpu and mems at 4g, but as soon as I pushed bclk all hell broke loose, even with mems at 1000 auto timings
First thing I did was a fresh windows install but that didn't fix, so I figured I'd try recovering MEI and updating bios. No issues so far, and before I was BSOD very very often. Hopefully I fixed, because otherwise I have no idea what's wrong lol
-
Was having lots of BSOD, even at stock settings for Kernel issues / kmode exception something or other. I had re-applied thermal paste on my CPU the other day, (CLU under IHS) and that's when the BSOD's started. When I put the CPU back in the socket, I had issues trying to post, had to clear cmos and power off PSU a few times before it worked finally, I was thinking I may have corrupted MEI.
I have been benching lots at 4000+ 12-11-11 before the re-seat of CPU + CLU, so I'm wondering if over time maybe I just messed it up.
I just reflashed it and so far no issues, hopefully I figured out my problem!

If you have it Friday morning still I can most likely buy it. I get paid Thurs, but money won't be in bank til Friday morning.

Agreed.
Strange, but the bench ran normally.
During the fluid test there were some intermittent stripes on screen, but nothing more.
Although, it is about 1000 points more than what I expected, there is no way to alter a predefined ( 1440P ) setting of the benchmark.
This is the newer Catzilla version with 4K benchmark.
Well your fur test seems bugged too, you got 5x higher score on fur test than 8 pack's 4 way titan x's lol

Loving mine so far, thanks for the guide Splave.
It's much easier for me vs normal OCF!

It looks like you never extracted the folder/files from the download
It looks that way coz of winrar, without winrar it looks like yours:
Except my menu file says menu.list and says it's an LST file, but yours is 'menu" and says it's a masm listing, wonder if somehow mine is messed up?
Ignore the 3 different ISO, those were test subjects

Are you using an original XP image or is it slimmed down? Did you boot from the USB and selected "Windows XP Setup Step 2 (GUI-mode)" after Step 1?
It gives me problems in Step 1 and 2, I think it may be the ISO.
Here's the ISO I was using, Sam OCX posted it on a different thread:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/dac25nmhi0qir4h/XP+v68.iso
If I try and manually tell the installation to use firadisk driver + intel AHCI driver from "floppy" it tells me it fails to copy IASTOR and a few other files, as well as the Firadisk things.
After I've done step 1 with manually selected firadisk + intel AHCI driver, I get BSOD after trying to do step 2 (GUI) it will post the "windows XP" screen, then BSOD before it does anything.
If I let the installation use it's own "built in" AHCI driver, as well as manually set Firadisk driver, then it fails to copy the Firadisk files. In the guide it says to make sure my WINNT.SIF-File says "OEMPreInstall = YES" so I believe it's OK?
After I do step 1 with manually selected firadisk, and the build in windows AHCI, I get that error that says "the file 'asms' on windows XP professional service pack 3 CD is needed"
I'll try a different ISO now and see if it works.

The AHCI driver is missing on your USB drive and did you prepare the USB stick with RMprep? If I remeber correctly I also unpacked firadisk drivers, and have them twice on usb, noob style, not sure this makes a difference though
P.S. Asmedia driver missing? I did traditional way on asus and asrock, so maybe you need to add this at Image of xp, I never had this at my installs
Dunno what's going wrong, yeah I used RMprep.
I tried again, made sure to select the AHCI stuff, then I just get BSOD on step 2 (GUI step) when it tries to boot into windows XP to finish the setup.
If I use the AHCI drivers that the installation media says are already built in, I don't get that BSOD, but I get that error where it says it can't find those files.
I also tried unpacking the firadisk stuff, so I had one packed version and one non packed version of each file, still no go. Tried dragging and dropping the AHCI drivers from the original post on here as well, seems like everything I've tried isn't working.
Is there a way to take out the AHCI drivers that are already built into this install, so that I can put the ones from the original post in it? I've never done anything like that before, so figured I'd ask.
Thanks for all the help, sorry if I'm spamming the thread. Let me know if we need to take it to PM, or a new thread. I'll gladly do so.

i know this isnt the right thread but just trying to help, if you have optical drive you can install like normal on asmedia ide port, then ghost it and always have copy. I think someone uploaded a ghost xp around here somewhere. you can also slipstream ahci driver from this thread and switch to intel sata after install
Figured it out, but now I get this message, man I suck at this crap lol. This is why I put off installing xp for so long, but my friends keep bugging me to do it and practice 32m

Followed the guide to installing XP on Z170, except I'm doing it on my Z170M OCF, I keep getting this error, anyone know what it is?
I tried using like 6 different XP iso's, including one Sam OCX posted that he said had the floppy drivers in it. Still no luck. Tried re-doing all the steps and still same issue.
I also tried using intel sata ports, and also the Asmedia ones on IDE, just to check if that was what I was doing wrong, still no luck.
Here's a picture of the usb drive:

P2 state (CUDA/OpenCL) downclocking is solved with t4 BIOSes below:
* Matrix 980 Ti (Hynix memory) m980ti_ln2t4h.rom
* Matrix 980 Ti, Strix 980Ti V2 with Digi+ VRM (Samsung memory) m980ti_ln2t4s.rom
* Strix 980Ti with SHE VRM (Hynix memory) s980ti1_ln2t4h.rom
I've only tested the Matrix 980 Ti (Hynix memory) BIOS but the others should work as well. Please test and let me know.
Memory overclocking is not working and doesn't seem fixable by BIOS. It also doesn't seem to affect the score a lot at least in GPUPI. However I found a workaround using Thermspy and its "Test CLK" feature. Any change to the P-states will remove your setting so I used GPUTweakII to force Always 3D Clock. Then you have to apply the memory clock in Thermspy while in boost state. In GPUPI you can achieve this by pressing Calculate, apply settings + OK. Before starting the benchmark while at the Start dialog box the card enters P2 boost state. During this time you can apply the memory clock using Thermspy and it will stick until the benchmark is finished. Values above 4096 gives an error but still applies.
THANK YOU SO MUCH for fixing this, I've been wanting to do GPUPI & folding at home, but I couldn't on the revision 3 BIOS.
Could the memory clock also be edited via NVInspector? I know you can change P-state clocks there, maybe that will be another solution?
And so it begins ...
