I have about 4-5 of them, do you need cards that fit into pcie slot or do you just want to cut of the VRM section?

I think I might be able to get one to bench from a guy who runs a mobile disco (I know he runs some matrox cards) and sice the videowalls they use are 3x3 there is a decent chance that it is a C900... So better ban it before I meet him the next time

I found a major flaw in round 3, it sais any Matrox card, so in theory the C900, which is a rebranded HD 7750 (with more HDMI ports) would be allowed (there are enough 478 Boards with pcie) but I think that a DX 12 card shoudn't be legal in a oldscholl setting... LGA 771 is one thing, but cards that support the newest graphics API are a whole different level

No DDR3 here, but some pretty good ~700MHz DDR2 and a watercooled, voltmodded FX 4600

According to hwbot database these (desktop) cards are allowed: Quadro FX 1800 , Quadro FX 370 , Quadro FX 3700 , Quadro FX 4500 , Quadro FX 4600 , Quadro FX 5600 , Quadro FX 570 , Quadro FX 580 , Quadro VX 200 But NVS 290 should also be fine, since it has the G86 GPU, but atm the GPU is listed as NV290

I was thinking, only NVS cards are allowed, probably because of the "," between quadro series and quadro nvs series... Now everything is clear, not sure what I was thinking... Sorry for confusing everyone

I't really doesnt, because NVS cards dont have any other chips than G98 (which isn't even on the list) and G86, this only leaves one card within the parameters, that beeing the Quadro NVS 290...

But in stage 2 it says: "Use 1 videocard core(s) in total. a Quadro series, Quadro NVS series videocard a videocard with the G96', G94', G92', G86-Q, G84-Q, G80-Q, G70' core Only use processors using socket LGA771. A verification screenshot is required. Must use official competition background" One of the two is wrong, now it's up to the mods to decide which one...

I know, but if it isn't listed in the database as G98 you can't enter the competition with it... EDIT: Great because at the moment im beyond confused

Its not about the limitation, I just want to know what quadros are allowed, because the hwbot database doesn't even have the chips listed for the 290 and 295, so technically you are not able to submit any results, since the quadro has to be NVS and has to have GPU core listed as one of the above, atm the cores are listed as NVS290 but the card has the G86 or the G98 core??? Nvidia Quadro NVS 295 @ HWBOT

Still not clear on the mess of gpu cores, because there are no nvs quadros based on other chips then G98 and G86, so the other ones are useless unless were allowed to use quadro fx cards not just quadro nvs???

Stage 2 sais that G92 and G80 cards are legal. stage 3 has no limits on GPU, is this right or can you only use G96 (which btw dosn't come on NVS quadros only on FX) in all stages? Another Question are DDR3 Boards, are they allowd or not?
