3-way & 4-way 2900 XT

Featured Replies

I tried running 3 and 4 cards but always only 2-way CrossFire gets enabled :(

I used Rampage IV Black, Rampage III Black and P5E3 Premium (on this only 3-way), so it is rather not MB related. OS Win7 X64. I tried newest and oldest drivers that support 2900 XT.

Are there any special drivers required for 3-way and 4-way?

It is quite hard to find anything about 3-way and 4-way (even no validations at HWB!) but I have seen that during presentations such configurations were used - example.

Ati 2900 only supported up to 2-way CF.

You can't run 3-way or 4-way . That's why you can't find any benches .

but I have seen that during presentations such configurations were used - example.

Then again those presentations also said Phenom would be awesome :battle:

Huh, then it is quite weird that 2900 XT has two CrossFire fingers, it clearly implicates that it should run 3 and 4 way :P

Xtreme Addict suggested that there are some special drivers that AMD used for presentation of 3-way.
