Posted December 28, 20168 yr I"ve read some news about it, but I want to confirm. Is AM4 going to use 90x54mm mounting holes? I want to make a batch of CPU brackets and backplates and I want it to be compatibile with new socket. Thanks

December 30, 20168 yr Author No idea how it will be handled by pot manufacturers. If you need something let me know.
December 30, 20168 yr how will be fixed with LN2 pots? I have old one from Sf3d ... Hope they release new mounting kits (backplate + top mount) compatible with AM4...
December 30, 20168 yr me too, if not...I will be confused. Its old POT, but still Im happy with it. It has issue with full pot -190C in load (wprime1024/Cinebench) at FX-8000 series, but others chips are doable
January 3, 20178 yr Does anyone know the exact reason why they changed it? Leaving out non-certified coolers out of the game? The change is not that significant, just the right millimeters to make the old brackets incompatible without modding.
