TheGamingBarrel Posted March 25, 2017 Posted March 25, 2017 Does anyone know what age chips are usually stronger? Looking for some backup benching / daily RAM Quote
Administrators websmile Posted March 25, 2017 Administrators Posted March 25, 2017 Was quite random for me, first 2400c9 batches were not that good, when I binned then I found no pattern over the years. Ended up with some 1327 2600c10 I still have, but it is really hard to tell golden batches, I had kits of same week that were good and really bad Quote
GtiJason Posted March 26, 2017 Posted March 26, 2017 Does anyone know what age chips are usually stronger? Looking for some backup benching / daily RAM Wish D die Sammy IC's were like a fine, aged Cognac. I'd go with a blend dating back to 1900 or so myself But seriously, here are the self called goldens I've kept out of apprx 30 kits. Top 3 kits can do 2966c9, best at 2.016v (32m wazza, not at that V). Not too sure about higher as my HYKO binning began halfway through Devils Canon and for the most part ended after DDR4 E Die. These are all 2400c9 kits, only tested 3-4 kits of 2600/2666c10 and were no good. I do still believe 2666c10 (are these hch9 ?) Dom P's are tops followed by 2600/2666c10 TridentX's (though my samples say otherwise) Aerotracks quad kit of Platts are/were killer 3000c9+ 32m, and Nox has a great 26xx c9 TrdX kit I prefer the ease of 2933+ ES Kingston hyko's but not all mobos agree. Sometimes g.skill retails need higher rtl/iol such as 43/44/5/5 Edited March 27, 2017 by GtiJason 2 Quote
suzuki Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 Aerotracks dom plat are in my collection but on my boards (z97 Asrock oc formula & Gigabyte soc force ) they don't work the same, not even 2933 tight ,i need an impact or soc ln2 to replicate. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro Quote
Administrators websmile Posted March 27, 2017 Administrators Posted March 27, 2017 Board and imc have extreme impact on especially high frequency performance. Not sure Impact will give you 2933 9-12 on air imc... Quote
