batboy Posted September 29, 2017 Posted September 29, 2017 Help me please. I'm trying to submit a score for PCmark 7, but it keeps telling me the compare URL is invalid. It gives me a message that I need to provide a compare URL since my submission will be in the top 20 globally. But, it won't accept what I give them, so I'm stuck in limbo with a good score that I can't sub. How is this not a valid link? https://www.3dmark.com/pcm7/1124978 I tried to submit without putting the link into the field, I used the comment section to explain and I put the link into the comments, but it won't allow me to sub without a link. Here is my screenshot set up as per the rules. I had one of my team captains look at it and he thought it looked ok. Is there a glitch on HWBOT's end or am I doing something wrong (again)? Quote
batboy Posted September 29, 2017 Author Posted September 29, 2017 (edited) I was so hoping it would be that simple. I used the same URL without the s: AMD Radeon RX 580 video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-7740X,ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. TUF X299 MARK 2 I still get the same error message: Validation error: A valid futuremark compare url is required if want to reach the PCMark 7 Hall Of fame. As only 7 benchmark scores are better than you, you need to provide additional verification. I tried to submit with another backup run I had that was a few points less, same error message for it too. batboy Posted September 30, 2017 Author Posted September 30, 2017 (edited) Thanks for trying to help, Scotty. I never knew about those http/https redirects. You might be on the right track. What else can I try? Is there an admin or moderator that I can talk to about this problem? Edited September 30, 2017 by batboy Quote
batboy Posted September 30, 2017 Author Posted September 30, 2017 I have uninstalled and reinstalled PCmark 7 (version 1.4.0 which is what the rules say to use). I updated the Futuremark systeminfo. I have ran the dang benchmark again and here is the verification URL again. https://www.3dmark.com/pcm7/1125254 I still get the same error message: Validation error: A valid futuremark compare url is required if want to reach the PCMark 7 Hall Of fame. As only 8 benchmark scores are better than you, you need to provide additional verification. Quote
1Tanker Posted October 26, 2017 Posted October 26, 2017 Still no resolution to this? I've just had the exact same issue.. it's totally frustrating!! Quote
Administrators websmile Posted October 28, 2017 Administrators Posted October 28, 2017 You need to try to use the validation link without the "s" at https because fm creates links randomly with or without this. This was mentioned several times now bc it it a problem for all futuremark benchmarks Quote
Mr. Fox Posted November 17, 2017 Posted November 17, 2017 (edited) Several members of HWBOT.org have discovered it is not possible to submit results for PCMark 7. The submission form is not recognizing the compare URL. We are attempting to submit everything required and the submission form is throwing errors. Example of the problem is shown in this screen shot: Edited November 17, 2017 by Mr. Fox Quote
Mr. Fox Posted November 17, 2017 Posted November 17, 2017 (edited) Just saw this other thread, so you can merge this with it. http://forum.hwbot.org/showthread.php?t=173062 You need to try to use the validation link without the "s" at https because fm creates links randomly with or without this. This was mentioned several times now bc it it a problem for all futuremark benchmarks Removing the "s" does not work. I tried doing that twice and get the same error. I have tried this multiple times and removing the "S" in the URL does not work. Still get the same error about the URL. Edited November 17, 2017 by websmile Quote
ajc9988 Posted November 17, 2017 Posted November 17, 2017 I tried reporting this sometime back at the beginning of 2017. This is over a year old problem that has not been resolved. I've tried both with and without the "s". I gave up until trying it recently, in hopes that the changes made over the year would have resolved the issue. Nope. Quote
Johnksss Posted November 17, 2017 Posted November 17, 2017 It is also noted that the URL does work if you use the "S" or not, but that is not the problem. The problem is once you post a score that resides in the top 10, the URL is (Allegedly) then broken and the result becomes invalid. Quote
Administrators websmile Posted November 17, 2017 Administrators Posted November 17, 2017 Maybe some of you post the links here so I can try it and find the error Quote
Johnksss Posted November 17, 2017 Posted November 17, 2017 Maybe some of you post the links here so I can try it and find the error http://hwbot.org/submission/3711409_johnksss_pcmark_7_core_i7_5960x_8500_marks?recalculate=true Now if I change that score to like 8590, then it becomes invalid and the validation link stops working. Administrators websmile Posted November 18, 2017 Administrators Posted November 18, 2017 (edited) This is extremely annoying - I was able to submit by removing the "s" from "https" plus removing the "www." of the link - this benchmarks needs a screenshot as far as I can see and it can be submitted without, another problem http://hwbot.org/submission/3711417_ Edited November 18, 2017 by websmile Quote

Edit: I just tried about 20 different edits and it still won't take. Edited November 18, 2017 by Johnksss Quote

No dice. I think John might be onto something with the permissions. Here's my link... https://www.3dmark.com/pcm7/1130624 Edit: Just tried it again to see if it has been fixed yet and it has not. Used URL without www or anything to the left of 3dmark as suggested and I still get exactly the same error. Edited November 19, 2017 by Mr. Fox reconfirmed that the submission form is still broken Quote
Administrators websmile Posted November 19, 2017 Administrators Posted November 19, 2017 (edited) http://hwbot.org/submission/3712768_websmile_pcmark_7_core_i7_8700k_9043_marks?recalculate=true it worked, and please look at the format I used for the link. Maybe it is not permissions, when I tried other ways I also failed. At xour screenshot link the "http://" is missing, try this please Anyway it is really weird this all cannot get a fix... Yeah, weird way to enter the URL, but that worked. Now we both have identical PCMark 7 scores. How do you like my 8700K? http://hwbot.org/submission/3714129_ Quote
Administrators websmile Posted November 20, 2017 Administrators Posted November 20, 2017 Niuce score - I think the test did its purpose and now people can orientate on link format shown at your sub Quote
