Mythical tech Posted September 24, 2019 Posted September 24, 2019 I recently got a z170 oc formula as scrap and it boots into bios and works fine but when I try to boot into an os it reboots. I have tried two cpus and two kits of ram, reflashing the bios, downclocking the chip, running single channel. I am waiting for my electronics cleaner to arrive but if that doesn't work then I am out of ideas on what may be wrong. If anyone has encountered this problem before let me know if you were able to fix it. Quote
Crew Leeghoofd Posted September 24, 2019 Crew Posted September 24, 2019 Does it bluescreens when loading the OS or as soon it accesses the drive Quote
Mythical tech Posted September 24, 2019 Author Posted September 24, 2019 @Leeghoofd it goes to automatic repair for about a half second then restarts, it is a fresh install and I have tried to do a fresh install but the same thing happens. Quote
Mythical tech Posted September 24, 2019 Author Posted September 24, 2019 @Leeghoofd I tried two versions of windows 10 and all the banks of sata ports. Quote
Guest Digg_de Posted September 24, 2019 Posted September 24, 2019 You already tested with another SSD/HDD and Cable? Quote

Splave Posted September 25, 2019 Posted September 25, 2019 (edited) You can try playing with csm settings in the bios ( long shot) or boot mode maybe your windows 10 needs uefi not legacy mode? Edited September 25, 2019 by Splave 1 Quote
