Jerre
is this board with the Nforce 4 chipset? Looking for testbed for older SLI-cards (7800GT DUAL e.g.) Edited December 19, 2011 by Jerre
Crew Leeghoofd Posted December 21, 2011 Crew Share Posted December 21, 2011 isn't this 680i ? Prepare for FSB hole galore !!! Why not use modded driver with eg a decent P45 or X48 board
Jerre
a what hole check ah, we'll see, it has to run an E8400 and some old stuff i find in the junkyard Edited December 21, 2011 by Jerre
K404
I loved this board at the time, despite its hot hot HOT NB, but I really can't think of a reason to use one now....
Jerre
just for fun and giggles :-) (and a lack of funds for the new new stuff)
Eeky NoX
Not sure it was a 680i Albrecht. It's the plus version and not the Striker lited there. I think it was the 650i (to be confirmed) I totally agree with him, Jerre, useless to keep on wasting time with such Nforce chipset based mobos like this nowadays... Better use a good P45 (like UD3/T2RS etc..) or REX with hacked drivers But I admit I had very great time with P5N32E-SLI (680i one) even if it was hot like hell ^^ Edit: Lack of funds hehe. If it's a 650i why not for a HTPC but clearly not with a 680i OMG! Edited December 22, 2011 by Eeky NoX
Jerre
and possible to make a cheap HTPC out of the stuff i have laying around the house. But this imposes a 2nd S775 mobo to plug my E8400 in. (bought dirt cheap with 2 gig ram )

Better use a good P45 (like UD3/T2RS etc..) or REX with hacked drivers It was 680i Sli 4 sure. You are mixing it up with the P5N-E SLI board. I had both the Striker and this one.. with chipsets under water even 500FSB was possible daily with my duallie... Had the Striker running with 450FSB and my Q6600 for over a year... but such a b*tch to dial in !! Hope you have fun with it Jerre !! La moule Eeky !! Best wishes all , Merry - Xmass !!!
