gigioracing Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 prejudice to all do not understand why I can not rise above 206 MHz bus with no cpu, everything and stable (tested with various cpu) I clicked on ULTRA but nothing changes, the motherboard used CUSL example http://hwbot.org/submission/2223457_gigioracing_cpu_frequency_pentium_3_800mhz_eb_s370_1225.43_mhz http://hwbot.org/submission/2268715_gigioracing_cpu_frequency_pentium_3_600mhz_eb_s370_917.95_mhz Quote
Eeky NoX Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 Strange You used latest/different versions of bios/setfsb Note that "Ultra" mode isn't needed under 400/500 fsb Quote
gigioracing Posted March 26, 2012 Author Posted March 26, 2012 the bios is the latest... the latest version of setfsb is shareware :-( Quote
Mafio Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 go to "custom" page and adjust the scale manually. Quote
TerraRaptor Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 My tusl cannot go over 207mhz fsb wall no matter what is core voltage, cpu, vio voltage and mem. Anyway my cusl can - but higher clocks make really big stress to hdd as pci clocks ran over 50 mhz. Try lowering dma/pio mode for hdd in cmos setup, try higher Vio using jumpers near mem capacitors (short all of them after boot to get >3.9v - in case u short them before system won't boot), try different ram modes and sticks. Frequencies over 200fsb/1300 cpu are "lucky draw" for cB0/cC0 as far as i see it. Good luck anyway. Quote
gigioracing Posted March 26, 2012 Author Posted March 26, 2012 235mhz bus !!! wowww http://hwbot.org/submission/2188579_terraraptor_cpu_frequency_pentium_3_800mhz_eb_s370_1410.37_mhz HD don't break ?? you use setfsb ? Quote
TerraRaptor Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 yes, i use setfsb all the time. My seagate 7200.7 fails if pci clock exceeds something like 47 mhz, my quantum fireball can stand 50 mhz. Anyway right now i use gembird ide2sata converter and sata drive and it is stable at the same clocks fireball is. Quote
gigioracing Posted March 30, 2012 Author Posted March 30, 2012 today i try to use a pci ide card bootable ... i have broken 5 HD at 50mhz pci... Quote
Stermy57 Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 today i try to use a pci ide card bootable ... i have broken 5 HD at 50mhz pci... Se fossimo stati vicini avremmo fatto a metà con i Quantum Quote
zafiropo Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 try with CPUCooL alternative to setfsb http://majorgeeks.com/CPUCooL_d214.html and use one of these bios http://www.x86-secret.com/articles/tweak/i815twken.htm Quote
gigioracing Posted March 31, 2012 Author Posted March 31, 2012 very good . thank you . i try later... Quote
Stermy57 Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 I discovered another software, SoftFSB... Is really good for old motherboards PS: gigio è l'unico software compatibile con la mia Sutthle SuperSocket7, peccato che anche con lui non possa andare oltre i 100Mhz di FSB... Anche se ho in mente un'idea... Quote
Crew Turrican Posted August 26, 2012 Crew Posted August 26, 2012 i'm using it already for years. also a tool called "cpufsb". Quote
d3mox Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 235mhz bus !!! wowww http://hwbot.org/submission/2188579_terraraptor_cpu_frequency_pentium_3_800mhz_eb_s370_1410.37_mhz HD don't break ?? you use setfsb ? Nothing big. I had 246fsb on tusl2-c :> But yeah, special bios is better than stock Asus. Quote
pablocs08 Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 I have a vga pci s3 virge 4mb(crash at 50mhz ) but one simple Voodoo 3 3000 agp2x is more stable,you should try one cpu cD0 (Y) Quote
