Massman Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 Official thread for the HWBOT OC Challenge February 2010. Questions, remarks and discussion about the contest go in here. If the mainboard you use is NOT present in the HWBOT hardware database, please PM me and I will add it as fast as possible. Quote
Crew Turrican Posted January 31, 2010 Crew Posted January 31, 2010 nice, just got 2 754 boards the last week. still need a good one tough. Quote
placid Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 Newbie ask 'highest reference clock' : is this total cpu clock or only HTT clock ? Quote
Crew Turrican Posted February 1, 2010 Crew Posted February 1, 2010 Newbie ask'highest reference clock' : is this total cpu clock or only HTT clock ? it's htt clock or fsb on other plattforms look here http://hwbot.org/rankings/benchmark/reference_clock/info Quote
placid Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 ic ic, thx Turrican. In my country competition like this has been done 1 year ago, and I got only 425 MHz with AMD platform . Now let's try with 754 Socket, I still have an LP NF3-250GB n Sempy 2500+. Yeeeah at least hit 350MHz HTT clock Quote
s0lid Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 Neat! I just happen to have one 3000+ and Asus K8N-E combo here, tho the board doesn't post yet. vDDR doesn't seem to give anykinda out put. Quote
mAlkAv!An Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 (edited) Anyone knows which chipset clocks best, nF3, nF4 or via K8T ? Edited February 1, 2010 by mAlkAv!An Quote
Massman Posted February 1, 2010 Author Posted February 1, 2010 No idea. I suppose NF4 would be better, but some NF3 went really crazy. Quote
Crew Turrican Posted February 1, 2010 Crew Posted February 1, 2010 yeah, nf3/4 are for sure the best i think. Quote
knopflerbruce Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 I wonder if my semi-dead 250gb can do some damage here... I have two more in Germany that should work better. Quote
Crew Turrican Posted February 1, 2010 Crew Posted February 1, 2010 hehe, competing with knut should be fun. Quote
GreenKiller Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 Have a Sempron 3000+ and a Biostar GF6100 anywhere lying around. Lets see if i can get anything outta it... Quote
knopflerbruce Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 Not sure I'll win this, though... HTT clocking isn't anything I've done much before. I saw 410 on that board on a Clawhammer, before some chip burned. The funny thing is that it works at stock voltage, but 1.8v is not possible anymore - then it just shuts down:D Quote
kikicoco1334 Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 i have a 3000+ with out the ihs lol i monna do some damage with that i'll try do some damage lol Quote
placid Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 OOoops I forget to add "HWBOT" in this CPUZ submission Next try with water n ice at CPU, perhaps can be better HTT Quote
Massman Posted February 1, 2010 Author Posted February 1, 2010 You can always re-submit a validation file and attach different name Quote
Massman Posted February 2, 2010 Author Posted February 2, 2010 Where would we be without Asrock? Quote
Bones Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 (edited) Hmmm.... This looks interesting. May have to try it and see what I can come up with here. Edited February 2, 2010 by Bones Quote
placid Posted February 3, 2010 Posted February 3, 2010 Are all Sempron 754 socket come with locked multiplier? In my DFI, I set Sempron 2500+ multiplier 4 or 5 but in windows always 7. Is my board have bug with this ? Quote
oDDiTy Posted February 3, 2010 Posted February 3, 2010 If i remember correctly, processor must support cool'n'quiet technology to allow you to lower it's multiplier. Thus you should use sempron 3000+ or higher. Quote
