nope ...now got a d3d error devicelost and the test doesnt work

Running on Intel+NV on Win8 the 2.27 Aqua. Test runs normally, but after that goes nothing - the result window doesn't appear, the process just eats resources without any actions.

 

Or should I wait for more? Say, half an hour?

Hey Antinomy, can you check if you have the same problem with 2.26?

 

@DavideSerafin: that means driver crapped out, try with no overclock while testing.

Will try to check tomorrow. The F7 allowed to save the result and HWBot decrypted it just fine.

I tested this now on two systems, windows 7 64 bit and XP 32 bit. Both dont show the result window after the run.

Where it works with 2.26 on both.

So 2.27 seems to be buggy.

Ok, well I've deactivated the code that was hiding the error windows, so give 2.27.104 a try and let me know if it works or what error it shows.

no change here. Also no error window does appear.

I see, well I wont spend any more time trying to figure it out since there is a complete rewritten version coming soon. Until then use whatever works for you, and if you have trouble uploading the scores just PM me the scorefile.

2.27 doesn't open the window for me after runs aswell. That said, only happening on my 7970lightning, Nvidia cards not affected. Driver related perhaps?

Not sure why 2.26 will and 2.27 won't, since the change between them is irrelevant, unless I upgraded the compiler and forgot about it.

Tested with 6770 Cat13.8. Seen a couple subs here with this version, so I know it does work for others as well.

 

What driver are you running, and which OS?

This is with 2.27 and ...104 linked above. Have yet to try 2.26 yet.

Win7 64bit, brand new install. Iirc, catalyst 13.4 drivers are all I've tried/had an installer for at the time.

Thinking back, I think I made some radeon 5850 submits last week, and 2.27 worked then. Just not this week with the 7970.

 

If you need anything specific or more information, I can provide it in about 12hrs...

Dont know if this helps but it seems it has something to do with wmi. When the wmi service is disabled, result window does appear. Ofcourse I get lot of errors and I probably cant submit but still...

I did some more testing today with other drivers, and found that it didn't matter. I also noted that the HWbot AM3 process was still going in the process, using about 5-10% cpu on 1 core until stopped/rebooted.

 

Also, once again, only on my AMD cards. Nividia still fine.
