April 5, 201312 yr Should be alright as far as I know. Even if you pause the cmd and change the priority in the task manager it will not affect or change the calculation. Have been doing this for years. Just edit the batch file and put a "pause" in the first line.
April 5, 201312 yr after all, you can make another bat file which will run the original bat file hence the benchmark will run totally unchanged

If you pause the bat you select the priority of cmd rather than that of pifast Need to use the 'start' command to launch it with a custom priority. @Allen: No problem there, after all you can launch pifast manually and enter all the default settings yourself.
