Has anyone had problems with the CPU being stuck at stock on XP? Is it just down to Intel ME needing an update?

    Some boards, like ASUS and ASRock, only apply (raise) CPU multiplier during OS bootup. If your OS is too chopped then it won't trigger the multiplier change and boot at stock.

    ^The R4E BE has an issue with my 32M OS, at least with the 4820K, will test with the 4960X and see if the problem still exists.

     

    I am pretty sure Dumo said multi works fine on his OS so maybe shoot him a pm.
