  1. Can’t wait till winter, had a 30c ambient in the garage. Drivers did not like the AM3 front end, 0 scores, looking good from the exe. Blew the 3DM03 screen shot, just to warm to run again.
  2. My idea of winter ambient without the extra layers of clothes, or winter in a box as I explain it to my friends, most of the components are assembled and have all the sheet materials on hand just need the area in my garage to construct the actual box and stand. Upside no board prep for condensation, down side is going to be the warm up time to change out components. Images of concept plans
  3. I was Wondering if there could be separate categories for the Athlon XP 3000+ AXDA3000DKV4D, 13 x 166 Barton & AXDA3000DKV4E, 10.5 x 200 Barton, Pic could be better sorry. It is a little hard to make up 2.5 on the multiplier with the FSB, yes I have the latter. You can check your standings for the Athlon XP 3000+ and see how they compare. This would be for the locked versions, don’t really care if someone wants to drop down and compete. This also happens with the Athlon XP 3200+ AXDA3200DKV4D, 14 x 166 & AXDA3200DKV4E, 11 x 200 There are a few others, but the multipliers are closer as you drop down the list.
  4. Kithylin, It is frustrating when you try your best and get .1 league points, (been there, but you can pick your races). As pointed out by Antinomy you are leaving a lot of points on the table by not benching all available categories for a particular piece of hardware, maybe not a lot of league points but by the hardware in your first post team points. I’m in the Enthusiast League and benching for team points is my main way of contributing to the team.
  5. Thinking this is a X300 HM due to the default clocks, came out of a Dell box. It is only 32 MB but the ram clocks better than most. Competitive in all but 05 & 06, so does the 32 MB versions need a separate category Results AM3 = 29092 3d 2000 = 20954 3d 01 = 15127 3d 03 = 3487 3d 05 = 608 3d 06 = 62 Same settings all runs.
  6. Like the new wrapper 2.25, no problem running worked prefect with a firegl v5100 but did have problem when submitting, had to manually enter all data for cpu, mb & video card. Hardware not recognized from submittal file.
  7. Thanks for the answer. I was expecting a few more comments to draw from but here goes. The first three examples are dependent upon air temperature, so would it be acceptable to assume that the medium being used to remove the heat was the deciding factor, or artificially cooled air Yes, water No. Taking example 3 from the first post and replace the nature cooled air by creating a recycling loop with an AC unit’s evaporator(I've seen examples of this in the mid -20c), as long as new warm air was blocked from entering the cycle it would negate the need for board prep, creating the same benching environment present in the example. Looking at this as cold clamite, warm climate.
  8. You live here 1, Computer outside on a table, air cooled, winter 2, Computer outside on table, liquid cooled (glycol added, fan on the rad), winter 3, Computer inside, outside winter air ducted through box, cooled by example 1 or 2 4, Live in warmer climate, use ac in closed environment to cool air, cooled by example 1 or 2 5, Live in warmer climate, use ac as liquid chiller 6, CPU cooled by single phase. Some form of glycol is already present in the Corsair H series closed loop water coolers, where I live my average winter lows are Stanley’ average summer lows. Yea I know, just get in the OC league and don’t worry about it.
  9. A few more 3DM06 scores. http://hwbot.org/submission/2266234_aleslammer_3dmark06_radeon_hd_4890_24394_marks http://hwbot.org/submission/2268326_aleslammer_3dmark06_geforce_gts_250_20485_marks My favorite score, lowest high score I ever spent time on. It’s laptop do I need to take a pic? http://hwbot.org/submission/2266283_aleslammer_3dmark06_radeon_xpress_200_64bit_sdr_71_marks Thanks Ale
  10. Same problem as Don_Dan I have two submissions that won’t hw point up, the first one has been deleted twice and submitted three times. The second deleted once submitted twice. http://hwbot.org/submission/2266522_aleslammer_3dmark06_radeon_hd_4890_24394_marks/ http://hwbot.org/submission/2266525_aleslammer_3dmark06_radeon_hd_4650_ddr2_6526_marks/ Recalc’d both got this Failed to synchronize rankings: Failed to select a row.
  11. 57, Will probably be able to freeze things with my feet in a few more years
  12. What would your confidence level be on a hardware purchase if you saw this in your tracking record?
  13. Thanks, actually not a chiller just a external water cooling setup made from hardware and kitchen supply stores. Have the insulation on the tubing to get a better idea of the water temp in and out of the rads.
  14. As a hobby I voted up to fifty, nothing wrong with membership fees/dues but in realism how many of the members would of signed up if there was a fee imposed. If it was related to my income that's another thing. I did try to donate last month but backed away when I had to use PayPal, nothing against the service just another thing to keep track of and a true lack of knowledge on the service
  15. The following scores are in the wrong category. My card is DDR2, GPUz in use wasn't showing the correct specs at the time. Specs, DDR2: http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3227#sp DDR3: http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3235#sp http://hwbot.org/community/submission/930470_aleslammer_3dmark_2001_geforce_210_ddr3_27069_marks http://hwbot.org/community/submission/930464_aleslammer_3dmark_2003_geforce_210_ddr3_10920_marks http://hwbot.org/community/submission/930471_aleslammer_3dmark_2005_geforce_210_ddr3_7497_marks http://hwbot.org/community/submission/930463_aleslammer_aquamark_geforce_210_ddr3_93661_marks This is a 3DMark score per the provided image. http://hwbot.org/community/submission/1025084_inter_pcmark_2005_core_2_q6700_2.66ghz_16275_marks
  16. My two cents, base a system of scoring on experience and skill. Everything we do is something learned, from building our fist computer to setting up for a world record run. Create five levels, earn enough point you move on. Level one would be a catchall. After time in general the 4 remaining levels will be dominated by cooling type, with those with budget and skill passing trough. User points would be based on the system in place now, with the first place in each level gaining the same score 2nd etc. Team points, cups/metals and all other scoring would be based on the system in place. It's just an idea and probably already discussed. No problem with the way it is.
  17. Happy New Year To All Like the setup and seeing some good opportunities with some of my older hardware at present, frustrated by taking a big hit on my HW points and my shinny new 3550 is going to need a pot if I want more than .7 HW points, but hell it could of been worse. Happy cause I can spend vid card money on other needed hardware. Small Prob, my PCMark 05 scores are pointed at each other, so one is not coming up in my user points. http://hwbot.org/listResults.do?userId=19466&applicationId=9 I've points from opening a hardware category, why do you give points for this seems like you need two to compete. And finally is there gong to be a achievement award for the first gal/guy making it to 300 HW points .1 point at time, if this has been addressed, sorry. Ale
