I've never seen one where the futuremark link says that it's invalid due to LOD. We all use LOD, but I've never had that error, usually its time measurement that i get. From my understanding, any submission that is invalid on futuremark site isn't accepted, but rules are open to interpretation at times.

there is no skill to it, it's like guessing a random number. But the more times you try, the better your odds. This sure seems like it's going to be a popular competition. We'll have hundreds of submissions by the end. Probably really good for some PR or marketing purposes. -

Thats a much better explanation than what the rules state. Got more questions and a bit of criticism. 1-The winning target is not really kept secret. Once someone has reached the target, it shows that they have hit it. The image below shows this. 2-Does this mean that everyone that hit the "secret" target will receive one point. As of now, it looks like 3 of us will receive 1 point for the 2 core stage. 4-If we continue to hit the secret target from every stage until the end. Will the winner be the person who hit the target first for stage 1? If the trend continues until the end, it looks like Paulie_AU was the first to hit 339. -

So to clarify, we are only trying to reach the targets. One of the two targets will be the real target, but scores in between don't really matter? Only hitting the target or closes to the target without going over/under is what matters? Use English version of windows or ask dancop. It seems he had this same issue and I think i remember something about him switching to an english version fixed it. -
Can we no longer require a link for catzilla pretty please!

If we can't get removal of the requirement for a link, then I'd have to agree with this. -
I'd have to agree

My initial thought was, do we have to complain about every scenario where someone has an edge on points because of one reason or another. After reading the arguments, I can sort of agree with it a bit. Some of argument two, where WR points take the spot of huge global points. I'd also like to think that rewarding the WR points on a 3d benchmark should actually be for a bench that doesn't rely mostly on cpu power but gpu clocks.

Thanks everyone. Mike- I don't know what it was. The last time that I tested it I only managed to get 1800 to run. The only thing I did different this time was to run a lot of voltage, used 2 psu, and unintentionally let it warm up a lot between runs. I even got about 1975 to pass gt's but I cold bugged it at the end. 2000 was a no go.
