  1. This is a subject where something has to happen, the community is very irritated with the lack of changing rules and/or the handling of this subject. WHy not just go through all of the cpuz screenshots and mark as ES. FutureMarks will definitely be hard.. You can rely on the owner for this.. Unrealistic insane scores that are on only 1 retail.. will be the method to root out the cheaters... This needs to be handled now.. not later... its already gone too far. The votes lead to removing the points... So what is the bot going to do?
  2. Wheres the info on which are ES's? Should be a relatively easy query.
  3. What about having a seperate ES point system? yeilds half of a normal point compared to retail...or something... then if the 980x has a great stepping and can beat the ES chips.. you can put them back as regular.. Just an idea..
  4. I think they still need to be there at least not for points.. It is cool to see the uber crazy clocks.. pro class would be better.. but for now.. no points would probably be pretty good. I haven't anything about the possability of searching on what is ES and what is Not.
  5. So far Im taking this pole ... 82 against competition ES chips. Compared to 15 for them ... Thats even worse then I thought. Something needs to be done, banning them would help a bit. But the real problem is definitely the influence companies give. Seriously why not seperate the league into specific classes? I have brought it up a couple times.. and no one even comments.... Whats wrong with a pro/amateur/novice type setup?? As long as the rules are laid out.. Everybody can be happy.. Guys that do this all the time with sponsership would be pro. Anybody who does it on there own buck could be an amateur based upon there skills.. based upon a certain criteria of legal posts.. that hit a certain level of accomplishment. Think about it.. Someone tearing it up in amateur can then be scouted for the pro ranks.. and they move up. then the novice, the guy starting out.. Having them then move up from novice if they reached the top 10 for a period of time.. Something like this is an answer to the problems.. it does create more problems in some areas.. but it does spread the wealth and keeps alot of what like today about clocking... Just my 2 cents... NO one likes this idea?
  6. So far 25 to seperate and 5 to keep... Looks like the community is talking...
  7. How about a no mods clause also with no ES.. You would get alot more competition.. Maybe hold some HWbot competition with the most used equipment... You have the queries to figure that out..
  8. ES Allowed, no use to compete.. If retail only, probably would because I have a retail.. Would probably pony up for a board.. SO 1000+ plus for ES.. to win 1000 dollars.. hmmm... will throw the board out after... Not worth it.. If retail only then hey im only stuck to the board... better.. could deal with it.. better chance. These comps are really just FAIL... The last and final resort to the competitions is HWBOT. You control the posts and the framework. You could standup for the community and not allow the competition. I think all mods should be disclosed for all competitions..Whys it fair if someone is holding onto the only knowing Ace in the whole.. Seriously we have even communicate this.. If you can't tell that from all of these competitions are a fail.. look at all the participants... pretty bad.. Kingpins comp did probably better than all of them put together.. food for thought.. and common sense really...
  9. I think there needs to be different classes... Probably the only way to seperate binned retails and es's. pro/amateur/novice Similar to golf or racing... Stipulations for each... I really don't see any other way. Even with ES's gone.... binned manufacturer chips or cards are really just unfair.. A good question about ES chips... most of the guys who had 1 or 2 killed them and spent there own money on them... The pros probably got trays or them... I think the real problem is the manufacturers.
  10. Can we do a query on which benches are es or not? I would love to see that data like, how many members used ES and how it ranks.. Why do we not have a comparison to at least say ES is way better than retail... I do think ES probably should have been ruled out before this all started. Would have made it fair for benching and much more for the amateur. Mass, I saw your post about the site being for the amateur... I beg to differ.. this site goes to the pro and pretty much nothing for the amateur. All contests are using ES chips, specific boards.. Why not do contests on a board that everybody has? that would be for the amateur.. You know you have that data. I am really sad to see that it really goes to the pro with connections/backings of a manufacturer. Until these things are fixed.. Your going to keep on going backwards.
  11. Gardening... nice.... Im starting to agree about ES... Really no chance to compete when people have access lots of these chips... I killed mine before I could use it for points... total bummer.. definitely don't want to shell out cash for another... I think the league needs to seperate in to a pro/amateur leage, maybe even a novice.. The big issue would be what determines each... Something needs to happen, since all fun is being taken out of it... Isn't that the point?
  12. No screenies??? say it aint soo.. wanted to check out the details...
  13. Man these competitions.... When are we going to get a decent one?? Always an issue.. Was thinking of entering.. changing my mind though... Anybody hear any news on the release to North America?
  14. Look like I might have to break mine out again.... Sweet clock
  15. This was quite a while ago, the newest one should be pretty good.. Most likely it was one of the early gulftown beta bios.
