  6. This makes me sick to my stomach. Dude you got your money what do you want? Nice red flag compilation I explained the situation that lead to a delay in detail. Was on the phone with PayPal. They closed the case because „I had already unpacked and installed the cpu“ So they couldn’t tell if it was a user error. Wow that’s a first. Nice argument. Invitation for scammers: now when ppl check if the stuff they got is working just claim that they unwrapped it and that it’s a user error. What a joke. You know what? I was going to take it but the lady offered me a next step so I decided to go with the next instance.
  7. Well my address isn't public. And yes here we have the presumption of innocence. He called me a scammer based on assumptions. I stated facts, CPU no-work. I could also assume the seller kept the good chip and sent me the faulty one out of the bunch as he mentioned to me he bought 5 chips. Who knows right? And I'm never going to find out. To get a few points straight: As I said I sold my previous chip as I did want to make a swift swap as new ryzen were about to be released and I honestly I didn't expect THIS. Additionally just because the CPU was delivered, doesn't mean I was home myself to test and I'm not home very regularly these days because of new work and gf. Lesson learned. And yes it took me a while to open a paypal claim and the seller was so nice to provide a screenshot above why: I had to order a second board to verify the chip is not working before I go down the buyer-protection route with paypal which extended this process even more. Sry next time I'll open a claim right away and risk false accusation Having sunk a small fortune in this hobby I'll get over it. But I can't tolerate my name being dragged through the dirt. Hence my request to remove my personal data.
  8. Rly? I wasn't aware that Asus had this issue. Guess I have to get my hands on a Dark, it's just hard to get your hands on one in the EU.
  9. Well I just saw paypal closed the case "because the purchase is not under the PayPal buyer protection terms of use." Wow! I mean let me get this straight: I'm the one who payed over 1000$ for a chip that shows Code 00 and you call me a scammer here in public? Showing my full name and address? You know that could cause some serious legal actions. I request removal of my personal data.
  10. Hi guys, Allen send me a heads-up, as I'm still at work. I know this is not a pretty situation for everyone involved. However as it was a deal made in the Facebook messaging I feel like it's a bit far to go and name'n'shame here right away. In my perspective $1000+ is pretty substantial. Unless there is some weird user error I feel like I have every right to make this claim to paypal if a CPU shows Code00. I'm in a shit situation as I already sold my previous chip here on hwbot, as I sold a few parts here. I admit I opened the paypal claim in a bit of a rush, as I had one of 50 CPUs before show Code00 to me and it took like 10 retries to get it to boot. But on the other hand I wouldn't have thought this is the case here as there was no such thing reported to me. I will get a different CPU and reflash the bios and see if that helps. On a side-note: It was weird to me that the CPU was labled 5.3G/4.7 Mesh on the blister by the seller, which would have been relatively low for a SP100+ chip. But yeah... couldn't resist.
