-
haha very nice, you have 1 up on me! haha
-
here is one to compliments Ney's last one, as i have a nice picture i can add in there too.
-
agreed!

yea i would say RMA, its defective. i have a few UD5Hs and none of that kind of behavior. They all have the same cold behavior, infact all the GB Z77 boards I have tested do, none of them have CBs like that unless the CPU has one.
-
that is very odd behavior. Vaseline and di-electric grease are very much alike, they both have di-electric properties which means they do not conduct any electricity, so i doubt that would be causing this issue. I haven't seen this before, but I have seen some other random issues and I have told people that they need RMA. So i would say RMA the motherboard. The voltages being set 0.6v wrong could be an issue with one of the ICs on the board, which would require an RMA, as this is 100% hardware defect in your particular board, not a BIOS problem.

it is on TT website: http://forums.tweaktown.com/gigabyte/28441-gigabyte-latest-beta-bios-11.html#post274647 Did you try the backup BIOS?

id use BIOS F8D also try to use high BCLK like 105-110

perhaps you need to enable CPU PLL OV as it was added in for users to change with F9 betas. They are BETAs, so just use F8 if you have issue, F8d is best. -
ahh nice i didn't know you could do that.
-
pretty col if my power wasn't out i would participate.

Get a board with a PLX8747, without the best you can do is 3-way CF> you only have 16X PCI-E 3.0 lanes there, you can't run SLI with 4x in any slot of the major GPUs

as far as the samsungs go, ED i reported this over and over. I also gave them a set of PCS of mine, so they could look into it too. Apart from the generic samsungs(b/c normal samsungs seems to OC very fine) and apart from PSC for the most part(as i am pretty sure I saw cookie OC with PCS off the charts man, he just put in all the timings manually) the other memory OC fine. So those two are on the list now for not fully compatible, shame too on the samsungs I bet it is something stupid. Are you using the most recent beta LSD? BTW what one thing that is EXTREMELY odd with the samsungs, try to just use 1 stick, i bet you will boot upwards of 2666. 2 sticks much lower, that shouldn't be. I also don't think it matters if you put the 1 sticks in DIMM1 or DIMM2. There is some incompatibility with some kits, there are just so many DDR kits, however what i was trying to convery is always set XMP and then go from there with the GB boards.
-
I use some crappy single sided hynix(2000mhz cas9), i can boot at 2666 without touching those tertiary timings, just loading XMP and loosening the first set and some second set of timings, but all 3rd are the same as at stock. I can ask for above 2600-2666 to have some of the tertiaries maxed out, but Dino would have to make a request like that as it would affect the performance of the boards, however who really goes above that and doesn't use XMP? If if they did i would hope they know how to set their timings, as that is no go zone. one of the main things that the engineers at GB worked on was getting XMP profiles working correctly, so they expect the user to use XMP these days. I mean seriously if I bought a TridentX 2666 kit and i tossed it in and didn't set XMP and i wanted 2666, well then I would just feel like i don't expect it to work, unless somehow the board can read my mind, or has its timings set so lose it would take days to tighten them.

hahaha yea that was pretty good James!

lol damn that is a lot of testing, nice job! So your full time job must be reviewing for OCAholic then, huh? -
it is set low to better efficiency and performance.

F9D for the UD5H has added CPu PLl overvoltage for the user to change, perhaps you need to change it to enabled. -
From what I have picked up about marketing language: Power user = overclocker/enthusiast Overclocker = Only LN2 overclockers
-
Perhaps they think you are retarded for RMAing a CPU lol. IDK, maybe they know who you are and are refusing to RMA b/c you OCed and killed it.
-
ahhha i really liked transams.

that is excellent splave, congratulations Hey so we see (_______) relationship between batch number and OC. Options: None, Little, Some, A Lot -
you can try it, perhaps it will work. but it isn't updating? do you know why?
