TIM under ihs is gelid gc-extreme. I did the air pretest on w7 because i didnt know it has such a great impact on max cpu-z. this chip should be 5.2 with 1.4-1.45 on xp.

this 4690k seems ok http://hwbot.org/benchmark/cpu_frequency/rankings?hardwareTypeId=processor_3696&cores=4#start=0#interval=20 need to delid it anyway because max spi 32m is 6070mhz in its current state. hwbot prime at 5.988ghz

Lets say I got a "decent" pentium and hopefully a better 4690k to play with. Tomorrow I will find out And then buy a 4c/8t chip not to waste more ln2 on the rankings.

if its very hot at even 1.2v im not surprised it is not willing to boot at 1.35v try better cooling or delid it
