  1. Can you change my forum name to Planet or Massman?
  2. You mean the place we went during Secret OC?
  3. Yes, in most cases you can as long as you have a working module with a board that supports R-W. However if you flashed a bad SPD to a module or your board isn't supported by R-W everything then what will you do. This makes it so you don't have to rely on a working system you can just use the RPI.
  4. Unfortunately that will not give you everything and you will still need to do alot of calculations.
  5. TiN and I have been working on an open source project for flashing DDR3/DDR4 SPDs using a RaspberryPi. You can follow the project on xDevs.com as well as grab the code. TiN designed an awesome PCB for DDR3/DDR4 slots that connects up to the RaspberyPi and lets you flash your modules. This is the top of the board that TiN designed. And the back side of the board It has three switches for changing the address as well as LEDs to indicate which address is being used. He also included a header to connect the RaspberryPi as well as a power switch. He also added support for a MCU so eventually we can plug this via USB into a regular PC to flash. Here it is in action flashing DDR3
  6. Plus it does DDR4 You mean TiN and Planet
  7. Probably because it will most likely be a very high cost for fiber optics/components. With silicon we can control everything very closely almost to an atomic level. Until there is an industry that drives the need for small fiber switches I'm not sure how viable of an option it would be.
  8. How do you think I test DDR4? Massman 2048 of course!
  9. Guess I should post my new backup.
  10. No leaderboard, no hwboints WTF? Here is my Massman 2048 WR! Have backups as well
  11. Some of those look kind of expensive. Just make sure you get something around an MRT station or Xinyi area and you should be good. Also make sure they speak english as well.
  12. Nah man plane ticket costs like 25K man gotta fly those babies first class.
  13. There are plenty of valid reasons for why there are single sided sticks. They actually aren't that much slower in terms of bandwidth its just SuperPi and a few other benchmarks are heavily effected by them. There are plenty of double sided MFR kits out there as well. The main reason you are seeing more single sided is because of the switch from 2Gb ICs to 4Gb ICs. While 2Gb ICs are still around most of the volume is in 4Gb ICs which means there will be more single side modules.
  14. This is somewhat true, hopefully soon they will have some tuning for it.
  15. I think those modules might be single sided which will definitely not help your scores.
  16. Just gotta get there the right time. If you go for an early dinner at the one next to On Tap its normally not to bad of a wait. You can always go next door and grab a beer too if the wait is long.
  17. I think I can make it to Computex Everybody knows that CeBit is dead and no one really cares about it anymore.
  18. CES has been slowly dieing in the past few years for PC Hardware as its mostly being overtaken by cellphones, tablets and TVs. I think the turn out will be relatively small again this year for the PC industry. The only OC event so far is the Kingston and I wouldn't be surprised if there was only one or two other smaller events.
  19. Can't see the memory in the video = invalid Just kidding nice job Sprave
  20. Hey guys Corsair would like to invite you out for a beer tomorrow night around 6:30PM. Please send me a PM if you are interested in joining.
