  1. not deleted; just corrected

Demiurg corrected it first time around, but bug in HWbot engine doesn't always pick up hardware change

it's filed under the correct hardware category now

You are kidding ... wright ?

The above entry-score has ZERO elements to prove a valid hwbot 2k1 result.

Only a link to forumpost, with a photo that doesnt proove anything.

A 2K1 photo where the tab score hides everything about the vga and analysis

An atitool tab ... that says nothing.

...and a cpuz tab of an opteron.

  2. E8400 - Q746A - Great oc'ers, would easily do 4700-4800 air cooled with normal temps, very low volts needed for Orthos at highs clocks. Very hot Cpu's though ( I own one of these)

    (

Hot cores ... 99% ... can give very good results with SS,DI,LN2

Much better than the cooler cores.

Here in Athens,we have fair good availability (except E8500 in limited quantities).

Almost every week,we have new shippments...cause they sell like crazy.

    and now the BAD NEWS

Over a sample of 20-30 cpu's (8400-8500) tested on air-cooling the last 2 weeks with a max Vcore of 1.5volt.

Almost all of them ... are loosing speed of 50-80Mhz within a couple of days testing.

It seems so far ... that they need a bit more Vcore to maintain their initial overclocked speed after a few days or week.

I am talking about Orthos testing primarily.

    That's not a good sign.

We have kept some of these cpu's ...to see what they will do on their 2nd week of testing.

  3. Temperature of the chilled "water" can be about -30\-35. I think such "water" can't be compared with normal water cooling system. And it can confuse another people if I select h2o cause of too high clocks for h2o. It's the same if you combine DI and LN2.

But if it's hard to do - ok. Thx for the replies...

In your case...since your chiller goes down @ -30C ... you'd better submit it as a single phase cooling.

  4. A few comments from me ....

    1)@hipro5

That was not a post-reply ... that was Desert Storm

    2)@SF3D

I'm pleased to see a person that has the strength to admit when he's wrong & doesnt "afraid" to say sorry.

That's what defines a man from kids playin arround.

You have my credit for that.

    3)@dinos22

    I totally agree with you.

    4)@richba5tard

I really expect more from you ... and not just a comment about tsan & SFD3 in this topic.

I know there must be some hard effort in the background of hwbot ... about making new rules and taking some hard decisions.

Dont loose focus & keep in mind ... that hwbot is a concept,an idea ... that is meaningless without the wide acceptance from us....the people of hwbot.

If you loose the pulse of people seeing things... you may end up loosing too many.

Ask the Team Leaders ... about their ideas and opinions ... before you end up with your new set of rules.

Maybe you and your crew are missing a different kind of aspect.

You still have my full support & trust ... and if there is anything i can do to help ... i'm here.

  5. Sorry,maybe i didnt described it clearly.

    I have 1867.00 submitted on 16/09/2007 and i am 3rd

    http://www.hwbot.org/result.do?resultId=647193

    "Kszonek" has 1866.80 submitted on 17/10/2007 and he's 2nd

    http://www.hwbot.org/result.do?resultId=657132

Can you please check this result ?

    http://www.hwbot.org/result.do?resultId=673623

The total time of 15.5 sec with only 4.9GHZ ... is simply too good to be true.

There must be some kind of cheat or bug.

You can check all the other results for relevant scores...even from the same user.

    Just a bump up ....
