  1. The thing is , that hwbot is not what it used to be.

Anybody remember the days with RB and bots in every forum ?

    Anyway ...

    Long story , short.

Every year passing-by (so far) , with all these new ideas and categories and promotions ... with pro styles , superpro styles and super duper pro styles ... you are loosing the amateurs , the everyday people , the ones that have o/c as a hobby and loving it.

If it's the big boys that you want here ...

Those 20-30 working for companies and an other 20-30 that are friends of the first group and get the leftovers of hardware ... then let it be that way.

    But just tell so.

So , everybody else that doesnt agree with that idea , can look up for an other place-space ... where they wont bother you and perhaps competition should be more pure !!!

YES ... it's good to see extreme scores.

Scores that need Skills to achieve.

BUT ... what's the point of all that , when you know , that it takes extreme binning of everything (in Laaarge quantities ... and for free) to get there.

The ordinary people , that can afford to buy one board , one cpu , one pair of mem , one vga ... even assuming that they have the skills ... they simply dont stand a chance , to even come close to a top score.

    SO ...

It has to be crystal clear ... where everybody stands and then go by the book.

Companies , sponsored , semi sponsored , and best buddies sponsored ... should be in one big yard.

Rest of the world in an other one , their own.

Recognition for achievements ... for ALL people.

    p.s.

    Plz excuse my English.

  2. In the "Discuss submissions" subforum , the score links dont work.

When you click to see the result , the path is not valid.

  3. I do like the idea of this stage but I don't think it has a place in a major competition like this. Perhaps on its own as a non-point stage for prizes or something but in its current form it is a failure. Only 7 teams actually put up scores in the stage and some teams not even for both substages, that is less than 10% participation rate. By including this stage, it effectively eliminates from the competition any team that isn't able to organize, can't afford, or isn't geographically situated to put on an event for the stage.

Again, I respect the idea of the stage and what was trying to be accomplished by it, but to eliminate 90% of the teams based on something that doesn't have to do with overclocking skill/hardware/ability doesn't seem the greatest idea. Just my two cents, on this stage now that its over.

    +1

  4. I'm gonna be a dick and complain about a feature!

    When I click "open CPU-Z...." I get 4 instances and then, when I either open OR MAXIMISE GPU-Z, I get a 5th instance of CPU-Z....whilst pushing GPU-Z 80% off-screen (right hand side)

We need two CPU-Z instances for verification..... please can that be the number that are opened?

Also, if we click "run again" .....can there be a script to automatically close CPU-Z and GPU-Z? (ok...this is probably not needed once the instance count is sorted, we can close three windows :P)

    Thanks :)

I have the same problem , and i also dont use a skinned version.

  5. For me it was clear from the start.

In any case i (or my team members) had any doubt , i asked or doublecheck release dates and related parameters.

Below in red highlighted , is the key factor of this competition.

The main theme of the Team Cup 2013 revolves around high-end performance since the beginning of this millennium. We took the most high-end components available at every second year, starting from 2000, and build a competition around it featuring the benchmarks SuperPI 1M, 3DMark03 and 3DMark Vantage.

    That's my opinion ... that's where i stand.
