No 220 cap for xp start up , it just makes sense as the hardware in the market its more than capable of that since 2007 and we are in 2011, Please remove completely that cap and will be a fair level playing field + we can easily spot softwareRam Disk Drives and report them on sight , and those shall not be allowed never as well as software MFT 3.IE change for another browser or to use any IE and any tweaking ,optimization and manipulation goes , as it is right now you cannot accurately tell whats going on with that subtest. 4. Mandatory full screensshot of all subtest , memory cpu-z screenie, cpu cpu-z screenie , motherboard cpu-z screenie, GPU-z screenie ,Very important will be the screenshot of HDD used for subtest as target HDD from device manager , Raid Card used , ICH10R used , I-Rams and how many used , Acards and how many used , SSDs and how many used , Raid0 or what type and how many Raid0 arrays used ,Normal HD used and how many. This will determine and will help if the score numbers its legal and no software Ram disk its used. 5. Always a Futuremark Link included. 6. Everything and anything goes except Software Ram Disk and MFT Software , everything else allowed. 7.If i think of something else i shall express my opinion later. Much easier and less pain to moderate that way , any mod will be able to moderate PCMark05 accurately.

Might want to try a different Browser , i had problems viewing and looking for categories and different records with IE9 , but with FireFox i never had that problem , i hope it helps . Regards: Chispy.

James i am and always will be chispy , who the hell are you to question my fair and sincere rightfully questions huh... lol , anyhow his score was remove due to cheating by the mods because I was 100% correct and spot the cheat on one subtest, can you see me now James ??? or you think from now on i will let this things keep on happening again and again , and do not get me started James i know a lot of thiings and i can open my big mouth anytime .. PCM7 would be a nice alternative to PCMark05 , i agree with you Chris.

+100% agree with you on this one Gautam , why a cap if everything else goes , if everything else goes and the 220 cap its not lifted it will be very unfair , as you see how easy its to spot someone using a software Ram Disk. @ Massman if you are going to let everything goes , please think about the possibility of removing the 220 cap please .

^^ This , i agree 100% , Predator we tried this long time ago i think year 2008~2009 , furturemark was going to raise the 220 cap and in place it was going to be raised to 300 , but it never happenned as always we get very little support from FM , still 2011 and i still waiting from FM or hwbot to raise the XP Start Up to 300 . , hwbot can let loose if they let loose everything else allowed , why cap the benchmark , it would not be fair for some people the all goes but 220 xp because , thats where they can catch up and have advantages in the Hard drive test , then why penalized some and reward others ???

All goes but 220 start up limit and no ramdisks , thats it . Seriously Pieter you guys at hwbot need to rewrite the whole rules with an updated version to reflect the real changes in hardware and software over time , it needs to be done , James has some good ideas to keep this benchmark going , but can you tell me how acurately the mods will be able to moderate an old benchmark like this one with all this new hardware and software available ? If the answer is , i dont know then the moderation of this benchmark will be useless. If a benchmark can not produce reliable results anymore it should be removed as richba5tard said it before. Is it PCMark05 a hardware benchmark or a Software benchmark ? Is there a posibility to replace PCMark05 with a new benchmark ? Keep the opinions coming guys , lets air this out once and for all.

clear example of this whole mess wich is PCMark05 its the many many treads with open disscusions thru the years about the cheating or legit tweaks on this benchmark.

If you guys take for example the top 20 scores , the sub-test on every score in the top 20 are all over the place , the disparity and abnormalies going on with those sub-scores are abysmal , massive difference , in everything from low cpu clocks with very high video encoding and web browsing test to HD test Virus Scan over 2000+ with only one or two I-Rams. I have seen it all in the top 20 scores , good ones , bad ones , some legit and some obviously cheated but there is no way to go trhu every single score and every single test and sub-test to make sure its 100% legit , some people lack the hardware and thru the means of the new so called software ***TWEAKS*** make up for it on some sub-test wich gives them the edge at the total score. But when you combine both , the right hardware and the so call new ***TWEAKS*** massive scores can be achieved no doubt , that it is the clue that the benchmark its no longer reliable and cannot be moderated correctly , we need to find a new reliable benchmark wich its more apropiate and suitable to replace this old dying , outdated , sabotaged , obsolete , raped PCMark05. I sincerely believe this benchmark has to be remove.
