Seems there is a bug as the CPU on that particular posting show I3-8350k as a 6 core CPU in the right hand column where we normally compare scores with others on same hardware. Thus I am alone in the column. hwbot.org/submission/3933519_matsglobetrotter_cinebench___2003_core_i3_8350k_5258_points/ Meanwhile I so far only see this for this particular submission.

Watercooling with Hailea Chiller in the tropics
Matsglobetrotter replied to Matsglobetrotter's topic in General overclocking
Hi Marco, I will get back to you when i have moved my gear and checked up what the AC can do in the small room and the outcome of the dehumidifier. i will get it but will take some time ? i intend to study the topic also to see the right balance between AC and humidifier. -
I just a story on my blog on watercooling with Hailea chiller in the tropics and the issues faced with condensation. http://globetrotter.tech/blog/index.php/2018/08/12/watercooling-computers-with-hailea-chiller-in-the-tropics/ It might help a few others in terms of understanding the Humidity vs Temperature and Dew point to avoid hardware failures.

Have been using the Aorus Gaming 9 rev 1.0 with my 7800X and tried to OC now for a while meanwhile it was so bad that I bought a Asus Rampage VI Apex after a month to get some results..... There are simply too many inconsistencies in the Aorus Bios functioning to make it even close to user friendly. I follow the nice guides for the 7900x processors posted but there seem to be different menu items that should be set. Even if I turn of all the Aorus functionalities as per guides to stop it only OC one processor and thus keep all processors on full speed the system will still revert to OC one only or simply turn off. Interestingly then there is no way for me to get a better score on the Aorus than 1900 on XTU. Meanwhile every time i put the processor into the APEX i can get up to XTU 2499. This is only a 30% difference in performance and that with the only difference being the Motherboard. The bios and/or operation is simply not consistent enough to work with the 7800x processor. Using the Aorus Gaming 9 for a 7740x processor works out just fine and so does a 7640x. It is so far just the combination of 7800X and Aorus Gaming 9 that is so endlessly painful. Ofcourse the answer is then use the Apex.. which I do :-) but that wont help any in the Aorus competition :-( Do note I have updated bios and tested all up to the latest version which includes the ones stating improvements on 7800x .... sighh..

I got the same kernel issue now as Gunslinger. Worked with my 7700K processor on maximus apex but only after i had talked to Catzilla support. and the answer was update HWinfo and reinstall catzilla.. That was in August. Now I am on Rampage Apex with 7800X and there is no way to get it to work again. Meanwhile I also had a look at the catzilla forum... Seems everyone who try use it has issues and with very little visible response from Catzilla guys. I believe it would be relevant to simply cancel all HWBOT scores for Catzilla. The bencher is not actively updated and is simply too crappy to install.

No score for 6 hours, is it that normal?
Matsglobetrotter replied to Medico_'s topic in Submission & member moderation
I keep having the same issue. I can sit for 6 hours and bench with multiple uploads during a session and the scores are not recognized. Thus I might have uploaded a new Aquamark score of 463000 with same hardware i used 3 months ago and had a score of 440000. for more than 6 hours the new ranking for the score is not shown irrespective if it is a point or no point benchmark. This effectively means I wont know if all submissions will be accepted or not nor which ones was rejected or had issues. I have tried to do recalculation of scores but it does not help. it does not matter if i have it on Firestrike and for example submit a verification link to 3dmark.com This kind of delay i have repeatedly experienced now for the last month or so. What is the issue leading to this. It should be noted that i normally leave the EIST mode on so the CPU speed is not consistent while the bclk and multiplier is. but all screens are fully in line with rules. -
Hi, I have started up my old 5960X machine and reinstalled everything. BIOS, New Win 7 SP1 install with all drivers and not using SSD M.2 as that did not work so now using SATA SSD. Using .Net 4.6 Each time I run x265 immediately when I start the Benchmark run button the software crashes and shows this in the windows crash window. Mind you I can neither run GPUPI with OPENCL as it also crashes..... its clearly beyond my expertise as now i have tried for 3 days. still want to improve my scores on Road to pro Problem signature: Problem Event Name: BEX64 Application Name: x265-64.exe Application Version: 2.0.0.24 Application Timestamp: 57cdafa5 Fault Module Name: StackHash_1e37 Fault Module Version: 0.0.0.0 Fault Module Timestamp: 00000000 Exception Offset: 0000000000000000 Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Data: 0000000000000008 OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.1 Locale ID: 1033 Additional Information 1: 1e37 Additional Information 2: 1e373e69fff075aed81f57003e66ce10 Additional Information 3: 9f0e Additional Information 4: 9f0e095f32a88249d7a2b7eca4e322ea Read our privacy statement online: Windows 7 Privacy Statement If the online privacy statement is not available, please read our privacy statement offline: C:\Windows\system32\en-US\erofflps.txt

hwbot issues with I5-7640x processor?
Matsglobetrotter replied to Matsglobetrotter's topic in Support
Hi Strunkenbold. It still does the same but not consistently. Meanwhile now the scoring is updated for the processor. I still see some inconsistencies in for Example GPUPI and other auto upload Hwbot benches as the process cant be correctly detected as in some instances its I5-7640x and in some I5 7640x. And this is also the same inconsistency that in for example CPUz in the Name vs Specification field. I note the same issues also on 3dMark on their site. Overall now though I can submit and get ranking and scores. -
hwbot issues with I5-7640x processor?
Matsglobetrotter replied to Matsglobetrotter's topic in Support
Hi. Even if points are disabled the ranking should show for the processor. Something has changed as now I get points as per normal standard again. However there is still an issue with the configuration as the processor when typing 7640x jump between 2 pulldown lists and is eager to choose the wrong one which means the 7640x dont show up, but several AMD processors do. Meanwhile there are further configuration issues even submitting from GPUPI will not be able to detect the processor. I work around it but maybe can be fixed :-) -
Hi, I have made 5 different submissions for this processor but none show up with any recognition of points or ranking. Meanwhile 2 submissions are then also accepted at OC competition site. hwprime, geekbench3, cinebench15. I have checked the rules so am in line but no points nor rank. I have also tried to re-calculate score but that does not help neither.

CSS not working
Matsglobetrotter replied to Matsglobetrotter's topic in HWBOT Development: bugs, features and suggestions
no worries got it working and this is how if anyone would like to do the same. body{ background-image: url(//photos.smugmug.com/background-1184-X3.jpg);background-size:100%; background-color: #000000; } ul.sf-menu{ background:#000000; } Note. I had to remove the http: or htttps in the beginning of the code for my backgroundfile the ul.sf-menu changes the color of the menu to work better with the background picture in my case. -
CSS not working
Matsglobetrotter posted a topic in HWBOT Development: bugs, features and suggestions
Hi, I am trying to change the background picture bg-large.jpg with the CSS commands on my profile. It works in the preview window below however when I save the profile the picture dont show up as if it is over ridden by something else. I have tried various sizes of jpg files but even using smaller than original background still gives issues. The picture I am using is on my own site over at smugmug.com Any solutions? ideas? Math turns benchmark: y-cruncher meets HWBOT
Matsglobetrotter replied to Mysticial's topic in Benchmark software
All correctly understood. Yes on the 87% i had not necessarily closed down everything just checking that it would be stable. Even had realtemp on just to see if there was unusual heatpatterns but looks normal. Anyway too bad, have given up on those Benchmarks on this setup. -
Math turns benchmark: y-cruncher meets HWBOT
Matsglobetrotter replied to Mysticial's topic in Benchmark software
Hi Mysticial, Well I could not at the 4.75 Ghz I was on right now but on standard bios setup non turbo clocked anything the Prime 95 will run smooth it uses about 87% of the CPU usage . But there is exactly the same error on Y-cruncher. For some reason I can neither run GPUPI CPU mode. Meanwhile Geekbench will run as a charm with up to 99% CPU usage. Regards, Matsglobetrotter -
